25.01.2022 The Imbibers have decided that in their next lives they want to be vineyard dogs! What a life! Here we have the lovely Maeve of Wobbly Boot Vineyard with her light pink Maeve Sparkling. We also have Mr. Archie Thompson of Every Man & His Dog Vineyard who appears to have had a few too may of his Mum and Dad's Archie Sparkling....... cute doggos, and great wine - available from The Imbibers (well the wine is..... you'll have to go to the vineyards to see the doggos!). 25.01.2022 Some new members of The Imbibers family joining us this week - the range of Nocton wines from Richmond. Well be doing their scrumptious sparkling rose by the glass this week, theres a lovely chenin blanc (the only one produced in Tasmania) and a magnificent merlot. Were closed Mon-Tue, but wander in from Wednesday to get your lips around these!

24.01.2022 Happy Friday Imbibe-ites! To celebrate another week of survival, why not pop in over the weekend for a cocktail...... We have launched an expanded cocktail menu this week, and now offer a range of 19 exciting mixes, using all local spirits and liqueurs... a couple of suggestions: Belgrove Buzz Breakfast Martini Our version of the Espresso Martini, a shot of Cheeky Devil coffee, Endangered Distilling Co. bread vodka, Belgrove coffee liqueur, unpasteurised milk, sugar syrup, ...garnished with coffee beans. Lamingtini New Norfolk Distillery lamington liqueur, Hartshorn Sheep’s whey liqueur, Tassie Settlers chocolate whisky sauce shaken with milk, served in a chocolate and coconut rimmed glass. Bloody Midlands 7K chilli gin, house-made yellow plum Worcestershire, tobasco, Shima Tasmanian wasabi powder tomato juice, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Garnished with celery. Naughty Little Ghost Poltergeist gin, Ashbolt elderflower syrup, soda garnished with a Rhuby Delights freeze-fried Tasmanian rhubarb lozenge. Beesting 7K chilli gin, Quiet Mutiny Riesling vermouth topped with Southern Ocean Soda Company leatherwood and sea salt soda garnished with honeycomb and dried chilli. AND MANY MORE!

23.01.2022 The Imbibers are proud to be associated with the New Norfolk Distillery and we carry their amazing Near Horizon spiced rum and Misty Valley silver spirit. Several of our cocktails use these, including a very popular hot buttered rum that can be enjoyed in front of our open fires! If hot-booze isnt your thing, come and enjoy a Dulverton Dark and Stormy made with their spiced rum, fresh lime juice and Gillespies ginger beer. Were picking up a sneaky surprise of an amazing new NND product next week too...... (watch this space)...... 23.01.2022 For October we’re turning pink! Our lovely Kahlinda has created a pink cocktail! The Dysart Delight! Featuring 7K Distillery raspberry gin, house-made raspberry syrup, ice and soda topped with lashings of cream and Persian fairy-floss. Garnished with freeze dried raspberries! $2 from each one goes to the McGrath Foundation and the Think Pink Foundation for breast cancer support and research services. Pop in this weekend and have a sneaky tipple!

Deb from Be Pure has issued the challenge of creating a menu item involving her lovely honey (from Orford bees) with blue cheese..... CHALLENGE ACCEPTED! The range of products is amazing and everything in the shop is sourced from within a 60km radius. And if you want to make a night of it there is accommodation onsite too!

21.01.2022 Well done to all the Oatlands businesses who supported the Go Gold Oatlands campaign for childhood cancer. The Imbibers tip jar is very heavy from our generous customers and we have topped it up by another $100 for such a great cause. This month, we are turning pink for breast cancer awareness month. In support of Think Pink and the McGrath Foundation, our tip jar will be split between those two wonderful charities in support of their important work. We are also donating $...1 from every glass of Rose sold, and $2 from every bottle..... we have some lovely pink wines, from Touchwood Wines, Drew Wines, Invercarron Wines, Winstead Vineyard, Craigow Vineyard and Observatory Hill Vineyard as well as a cracker of a sparkling Rose from Nocton Vineyard. Their 2018 Chardonnay was awarded a 95 Gold by James Halliday, and their 2017 Pinot a 92 Silver. Both happily waiting at The Imbibers for you to add to your weekend's imbibement! 17.01.2022 What a pearler of a day for a daytrip! If you're thinking of escaping Hobart, grab a designated driver and either: 1. Come up the highway, and check out Shene Distillery and Old Kempton Distillery on the way up. or... 2. Explore the Coal River Valley, calling into Every Man & His Dog Vineyard, Pooley Wines, Nocton Vineyard, Craigow Vineyard, Wobbly Boot Vineyard or Roslyn 1823. (please check their opening hours though!) Of course there are quite a few more distilleries, breweries and vineyards on those tracks that don't have a cellar door. The Imbibers are a 'cellar-door-conglomerate' for over 25 local beverage producers, so if you miss your favourite - chances are we sell it!

16.01.2022 The Imbibers are proud to be stocking local Coaldale Walnuts pickled walnuts. A great addition to our grazing board slapped on top of Coal River Farm triple-cream brie and Pigeon Whole Bakers grilled sourdough. These also provide a lovely savoury taste-contrast with Van Diemen Providore's sweet range of boozey jams and pastes. We're open until 6 today, pop in for a nibble! (we also sell these by the jar in our providore).

Made at Woodbridge from the whey by-product of sheeps milk cheesemaking, the sheep dairy where this product derives is at Tunnack - so it is still nice and local! The oaked vodka (50% alc.) is stunning, as is their gin and the incredibly smooth sheeps whey liqueur..... *drool!

Heres an end-of-Dry-July shout-out to two of The Imbibers nearestndearest - Deb Baldwin and Andrew Johnson..... who have dried themselves senseless through July to raise money for the Dry July Foundation - raising funds for cancer research and support services in Tasmania. We have launched an expanded cocktail menu this week, and now offer a range of 19 exciting mixes, using all local spirits and liqueurs... a couple of suggestions: Belgrove Buzz Breakfast Martini Our version of the Espresso Martini, a shot of Cheeky Devil coffee, Endangered Distilling Co. bread vodka, Belgrove coffee liqueur, unpasteurised milk, sugar syrup, ...garnished with coffee beans. Lamingtini New Norfolk Distillery lamington liqueur, Hartshorn Sheep’s whey liqueur, Tassie Settlers chocolate whisky sauce shaken with milk, served in a chocolate and coconut rimmed glass. Bloody Midlands 7K chilli gin, house-made yellow plum Worcestershire, tobasco, Shima Tasmanian wasabi powder tomato juice, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Garnished with celery. Naughty Little Ghost Poltergeist gin, Ashbolt elderflower syrup, soda garnished with a Rhuby Delights freeze-fried Tasmanian rhubarb lozenge.
