Combined they represent less 1% of the Australian spirits market. Approximately 90% of distilleries are based in rural or regional locations across Australia. They need your help more than ever, please stimulate the local economy and support Australian craft distillers.

16.01.2022 Let's be honest - our selfie game isn't that strong but our support of other small biz is #onlikedonkeykong ! With Lunar new year + V-day falling in the same week many of Melb's hospo venues + florists were fully stocked going in lockdown; help them out by ordering takeaway for dinner (direct, not ubereats) grabbing coffee, buy yourself flowers + shop online from local makers who've markets have also been cancelled. 14.01.2022 We’re not ones to toot our own horns, and let’s be honest here not all competitions are created equal (depends on judging caliber/criteria, categories, organisation yadda yadda) but we are pretty chuffed that all 3 products we entered into the 2020 @rasofvic #australiandistilledspiritsawards came in with great results! Congratulations to all the trophy + medal winners and also the judges who had the challenge of the covid adapted judging process too!

10.01.2022 Prioritising local jobs & making life easier I believe should be a function of local council. It shocked me to hear of the difficulties Mick & Mel Sheard have e...xperienced trying to open their business. Imbue Distillery was the first distillery to open in Nillumbik. It's been a 10 year dream & at times nightmare for Mick & Mel Sheard who both work fulltime in local jobs to get their business off the ground & pay the bills. Mick is also an artisan baker & we had a chat recently at Coles Eltham where he told me of the expensive 3 year frustration they've experienced trying to open a cellar door in Nillumbik & how after just 6 weeks Banyule Council provided them a permit to open their hospitality in Ivanhoe. Why does our Council make it hard for local people to open local businesses to employ local people & provide local services? What a lost opportunity for us! What a headache for Mick & Mel! What a gain for hospitality & tourism in Ivanhoe!
