25.01.2022 Date: 13 Sept 2020 Speaker: LP Jasmine Tiong Topic: The Shepherd and His Sheep Scripture Reading: John 21:15-17, Exodus 18:13-26... Last weeks sermon by Rev Su (Called to be Leaders): Judge, King, Priest, Prophet. Even though they have different roles, but there is one thing in common, they are all being called by God to be His servant. What is Jesus looking for when he called on Leaders? Jesus calling: Do you LOVE me? When Jesus calls leader, disciples, leaders, he is looking for Love. Jesus asked Peter three times. V15 The Love in original text: AGAPE love, sacrificial love V16 Not only restricted love: filial (brotherly) love V17 when Jesus called him Simon, son of John to remind him the first time Peter decided to follow Jesus. 1) Feed my lambs Preaching Ministry. First avenue to reach out to feed the lambs. Shepherds response: Yes Lord, you know I LOVE you. 2) Take care of my sheep Caring Ministry. No longer lamb, they have grown into sheep. We have to care about their welfare. It is a heavy burden for pastors in church to care for all members in the church. Leaders, we should extend our help to care about our cell group members/ministries so that we know what are their needs. 3) Feed my sheep Teaching Ministry. Jesus ministries: teaching, preaching and healing (serving people). Teaching is the main calling of our church. No matter what stages we are in, we need to always be taught in the truth from the Bible. Sheeps response Exodus 18:13-26 We must use our gift to serve, we have to be God fearing, be Holy, progressing in the Holy path, remain honest. Reflected in Deuteronomy 16 and 17 as well. When pastors or leaders approach us Would you be willing to share the burden with me and serve together? 1) Serve at all times 2) Pray for the pastors and leaders 3) Attending church and fellowships

19.01.2022 Date: 6 Sept 2020 Speaker: Rev Allen Su Topic: Leaders Who are Called Scripture Reading: Deuteronomy 16:18-20 & 17:14-20... 1. The Judge Appoint judges and officials for each tribes, judge people fairly. The judge should judge people fairly, do not pervert justice or show partiality, do not accept bribe (Deut 10:17-18) 2. The King - King Solomon was the wisest king in Israel but he did not end well because his heart for God was divided. He had 700 wives and 300 concubines. He was a great King in Israel. The King must not be ignorant and disobedient, and not be proud. 3. The Priest depend on Gods provision (Deut 18:1-2), shall have no inheritance among their fellow Israelites, the Lord is their inheritance. 4. The Prophets God would put words in the prophets mouth and the prophet would speak everything God commanded him. (Deut 18:16). How do we know if the words are from God? Deut 18:22 If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the Lord does not take place or come true, that is a message the Lord has not spoken. Jesus is the ultimate Judge, King, Priest and Prophet! It is our responsibility to rely on God to give us divine wisdom and help as we lead. Remember we are leaders, who are called to lead. As we lead, we serve God faithfully.

11.01.2022 Date: 10th May 2020 Preacher: Ps Ivan Low Scripture Reading: Col 3:20-21 Title: Being Children and Parents in Christ... 1. Obey your parents (v20) Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord. Col 3:20 - Obeying our parents makes them proud of us - Obeying our parents is submitting to Jesus Christ as Ruler of the Universe - When we become independent, we still honour our parents - We honour our parents because we honour God Eph 6:2-3 God has promised that our lives will go well if we honour our parents Obeying our parents bring God's blessings and positions us to fulfill our God given destiny 2. Dont embitter your Children (v21) Fathers, do not embitter your children, or they will become discouraged. Col 3:21 - Do not embitter, do not compare - Encourage children by showing unconditional love - If our earthly father with limited capability is willing to sacrifice for us, how much more a Heanvenly Father who is perfect is willing to support and provide for us - Parents plays an important role. The way parents relate to their children determines the Wat they relate to our Heavenly Parent Conclusion - Children obey your parents, and the Bible promises it may go well with you - Parents encourage your children by showing unconditional love, by doing so they experience the love of our Heavenly Parent

11.01.2022 The renewed life and living by Rev Allen Su 5th April 2020 (Palm Sunday) Passage: Colossians 3:1-14... 1) The renewed life (3:1-4) Paul tells us to look at things above: Christ is seated at the right hand of God o He has accomplished all his work on earth o He is in charge now; he is the ruler and king. He is the image of the invisible God. He is the incarnate, and the creator. And Christ is above all and His kingdom is eternal (1:15-20) Christ helps us to live the renewed life but changing us inside out Paul wants us to set our hearts and minds in heavenly and not earthly things. - Since we have citizenship of heaven, our life is hidden with Christ in God, therefore 'Put to death, whatever belongs to your earthly nature, sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry.' 2. Renewed mind and behaviour (3:5-11) Our old earthly nature needs to be put to death - put sin to death (sexual immorality, impurity), not giving opportunity for 'lust, evil desire, and greed' to act. 'The death he died, he died to sin once and for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God. In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.' (Rom 6:10-11) Rely on the Holy Spirit, pray to God and with determination, we could get rid of bad habits and sinful behaviours. Take off the 'old self' (sinful behaviours and lifestyle) and put on the 'new self' (given by God when we believe and receive Jesus Christ. We will have His divine and godly nature... we can have compassions, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience, forgiveness, endurance and love). 3. Renewed community relationships (3:12-14) When we receive Christ, He lives in us - and this can happen to anyone, regardless of our culture or nationality. In Christ, we are a new people, and a new community - one that consists of sinners, saved by the blood of Christ, and are living new lives in Christ. How do we love and build each other up? o We need to be compassionate, kind, humble, gentle and to have endurance o Accept and forgive each other o Love above all o We are called to be one The reason for doing the above: o We are Christ's people, loved and are called to be Holy o Christ had forgiven our sins o Love is above all o We are called to be one When we receive Christ, we are given new 'clothes' to put on each morning, and a new 'library' of literature and knowledge. We also have access to a secret room; and this room can be found anywhere - on a chair, in your bedroom, in the kitchen - this is the place where we can meet Jesus, spend time with and draw close to Him.
