10.01.2022 For 40 years, the Immanuel Arts Festival has been an icon on the Sunshine Coast cultural calendar. The Festival has helped launch the career of many aspiring artists and it is our intention that this will be the case for years to come. However, due to current conditions around social gatherings, the College has had to cancel this year’s event. As it is the Festival’s 40th anniversary, we look forward to celebrating this marvellous milestone next year. Thank you to our committee members, artists in focus and local artists throughout the community for your support. A special thank you to our major sponsors: My Weekly Preview, 92.7 Mixfm, The Inkspot Printers, To Hold & To Have and Medicine on Second, Maroochydore. See you all in 2021.
09.01.2022 It's less than a week until we launch the 40th Immanuel Arts Festival which will be held from 21-24 May. We are so excited to welcome Artist in Focus Chris Blake as well as Artists in Residence Justin Bruhn and Odessa Mahony de Vries. This year, we also have a student Artist in Focus - Libby Evans, winner of the 2019 Outstanding Work of Festival for her Wearable Art Piece X-Radiance. We look forward to receiving lots of fabulous entries and to providing a wonderful three days of art for the Sunshine Coast public to enjoy in our fantastic gallery. See you all in May!

08.01.2022 VISUAL ART | This year would have been the 40th anniversary of the Immanuel Arts Festival where Year 10 Immanuel student and artist Libby Evans - last year's overall winner of the Festival - was to be Student Artist in Residence. Although not to be, yesterday, Noosa Regional Gallery announced Libby as the winner of the Year 10 category in the Draw 2020 Student Drawing Award with her artwork "Taches de Rousseur". Fellow ILC Year 10 student Zoe Kamarinos also entered and was se...lected as a finalist. In other news for Libby, she has been shortlisted for the Stanthorpe Art Prize - a national competition - in the youth category. This is an outstanding achievement. Libby's shortlisted artwork is her oil painting "Agua". Winners will be announced at a gala night in February 2021. #ImmanuelArtsFestival #ImmanuelLutheranCollege

06.01.2022 2020 Immanuel Arts Festival Student Entries Students from any school on the Sunshine Coast are encouraged to complete and enter a piece of artwork in the 2020 Immanuel Arts Festival. With many prizes to be won, they will have their piece(s) showcased in a large exhibition and critiqued by a panel of professional judges. They'll also be in the running for a Student Encouragement Award and can register their artwork for sale. The Festival is now in its 40th year and promotes all visual, creative and performance art within the Sunshine Coast community. Entry forms are obtained online and due by 20 April, although the art isn't delivered until Friday 15 May so there's plenty of time to make a start on something new, or to finish off a work-in-progress. For entry forms, go to www.immanuelartsfestival.com.au
