25.01.2022 Keep you eyes open for this new heavier model of the Impact Tackle Bladez, available in the next few weeks. 3/8oz - 53mm. Available in six colours. Blue Gill, Suji Prawn, Firetail Light, Firetail Dark, Purple Belly and Cicada. These are a great size/weight combination which is ideal for targeting Bass, while still being a small enough profile for a deep Bream bite.
25.01.2022 From Dave - EWEN MADDOCK FISH STOCKERS CHALLENGE Working behind the scenes more so this year has seen me especially busy in the past ten weeks in the preparation for our annual competition next year. I’d like to happily inform you all that SEQ Water has approved our application to hold the event on the 15th and 16th of March next year. I still have a pile of paperwork to get through and forms to sign etc. but it’s all go for those dates. Due to being extremely busy leading ...up to Xmas and holidaying in the new year I’d like to take competitors nominations from Monday the 13th of January, this should give me enough time to collaborate all the nomination forms, rules of the event and all other legalities set out by QAFCA and SEQ Water, however in the mean time spread the word please as a date claimer. In the coming days I’ll be doing just that, expressing the date to keep clear for all angling kayakers through our FB page and other social media, along with fishing forums. See more

21.01.2022 We have finally released the much anticipated HEAVY DUTY HEADZ range of jig heads. Manufactured using a very strong chemically sharpened hook, these jig heads provide the next level in performance when it comes to combining strength with hook point penetration. The combination of a correctly set hook point angle in relation to the eye of the hook, and a unique hook shape that increases strength through design, the end result is a stronger hook with the penetration performance of a finer wire hook. Currently available in 10 hook size/weight combinations that suit a wide range of inshore and offshore applications. Sizes from 1/6th #2/0 (2/0 hook ideal for 3-4 inch plastics) to 1oz #6/0 (matches 7 inch plastics very well). Stay tuned for a list of stockists, or simply ask your local tackle shop to contact us about supply.

We have till Saturday to get the numbers otherwise we will can the 2 day event and just run the single day event. See more
19.01.2022 Ryan young: SKINNY WATER CODDING After canvassing the fellas last night for a fishing buddy, and all of them piking, it ended up being a solo effort in some water I haven't visited for a while. The last time I was out this way, there was snot weed everywhere, however this time, the water was clear, allowing me to get thirteen Mary Cod, and dropping two others. The biggest went 74cm with most being in the fifties. I managed to lose my glove early in the piece, and have got a nice bit of cod thumb as a result lol. All up, an enjoyable 1/2 day out, and this also sets a new PB of cod caught in a day, up from eight. Impact Tackle S-Baitz did the damage.
19.01.2022 Jesse slaying the Barra last weekend.

10.01.2022 Hey guys now that a few CRANKA crabs are starting to filter out to stores... I thought it was appropriate timing to suggest a few tackle box storage options for... the crabs. Firstly, don't just go throwing your crabs into your boxes as you would other hard bodies... The advanced rubberised, tough, soft plastic material that we have selected to make our crabs legs with... has some built in inherent memory in it... so if you just chuck your crabs into your boxes and the legs are stored in a bent leg position the next time you go to use your crabs again you may find the legs are all bent... The best way to avoid bent legs happening is to store your crabs appropriately either back on the little clear plastic mount that they come supplied on in the packet... Or alternatively we have found that a PLANO 3700 tackle tray has the best compartment width to adequately fit your crabs... We have found the best way to store them (unit Plano or CRANKA makes a dedicated crab box this is ;) ) is as shown in the attached image ... Please note that if your crabs legs do ever become bent due to poor storage it is not the end of the world as you can simply straighten them with a small piece of double sided tape... You stick the tape to a bench top then stick your CRANKA crabs legs on top the double sided tape and arrange the legs in the tape and leave them stuck in the tape until they straighten... When we get a minute we will out up a few images or a short vid of how to go about this... Please note that If stores appropriately you will never have bent kegs on your CRANKA crabs :)
