20.01.2022 We are so privileged to have Peter Adams working with the students this week as part of our Summer Intensive. His experience and knowledge are vast and he has been so generous and giving of his time and encouragement of the students. Peter is creative deviser, director and producer of live events and radio. His credits include: The Importance of Being Miriam, starring Miriam Margolyes, Michael Palin’s Australian / New Zealand Tour, Legends starring Hayley and Juliet Mills, a...nd Maxwell Caulfield, A Spaceman’s View of the Planet, an evening with Chris Hadfield, and a fully staged development of The Story of Dracula by Bram Stoker. He has worked extensively with David Attenborough, and last year created the live Australian launch of the new Dr Who Peter Capaldi. For the BBC, Peter devised and staged Sherlock From Script to Screen with the creative team behind the world block buster Sherlock. He was the resident director for GFO/Opera Australia’s South Pacificwith Teddy Tahu Rhodes and Lisa McCune, The Producers with Reg Livermore, The Sound of Music with Lisa McCune and John Waters, Crazy for You with Todd McKenney and The Secret Garden with Anthony Warlow, Mariana Prior and Phillip Quast. He directed Anything Goes (2001, Show Boat with Barry Otto, Nancye Hayes and Mariana Prior. He has also been executive producer in live variety television with Bert Newton, Mike Walsh, Peter Couchman, Kerri-Anne Kennerley, and Ray Martin. See more

20.01.2022 Kicking off our great Music Theatre Summer Intensive this morning. Really excited to be welcoming back the fabulous Benjamin Colley. Benjamin is a recent Music Theatre graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) and an alumnus of PROJECTion Dance School. He is well known in the local theatre community for his work with Livid and AWTCo. His WAAPA theatre credits include Chicago, 42nd St, Heathers: The Musical, RENT, Bring It On: The Musical, The Crucible, A Midsummer Night's Dream and Atlantis. He is also the 2017 Recipient of WAAPA's prestigious Hal Leonard International Award for the student who has made the most positive contribution and taken most advantage of the course. He is very excited to be returning home to the Impact Dance Lab as a guest teacher!

19.01.2022 Great to have professional dancers Zoe Cavedon and Dominic Ballard at the LAB today taking students through ‘a day in the life of a dancer’. They started with a gyro-kinesics warm up and will also take class, coaching and teach the students some of the famous Balanchine ballet Serenade.

05.01.2022 What an awesome first day of Motion Dance Festival! We had some fabulous performances by Cathy’s Celtic Dance and Hume Dance School as well as lots of really great workshops. There’s lots more tomorrow including workshops in Latin ballroom, contemporary dance and belly dancing and more great performances! All ages and experience levels most welcome!
