23.01.2022 It takes 3500 calories on top of what your bodies maintenance calories are in order gain 1 pound of fat. So don’t beat yourself up over the day to day fluctuations. Monitor the process and pay attention the averages. Remember this is a game of averages. ... One good day of clean eating won’t reverse months / years of poor eating, just like one poor meal won’t reverse weeks / months of clean eating. Remember, game of averages Make it work for you!!

23.01.2022 Those that struggle with the late night snacking! Give this a go! - Low fat Greek yoghurt - Half a diced apple mixed in (save the other half for tomorrow)... - Add cinnamon (great for curing sugar cravings) - Add 1 serving of sugar free maple syrup (or as I call it lifesaver syrup) Mix and cure those cravings Let me know how it goes

23.01.2022 FILL UP ON THESE NOT JUST FRUIT! When I say there’s eating for health and there’s eating for fat loss. Eating for health simply means consuming good quality micronutrients to aid in all round health. Eating for fat loss means just eating less than your body needs on a regular basis.... Now what you see below is a clear list of healthy foods. I like to refer to this list as a tool. I have all my regular staple foods I love and enjoy that I already eat on a daily basis and I simply use the foods below to fill out my meals as much as I need. This is how we balance our diets utilising the health aspect. The biggest confusion is that people tend to think they can only eat the foods on this list in order to drop body fat. Or that they have to fill up on fruit which is full of good nutrients but are also high in carbs and natural sugars. Which isn’t a bad thing, you just don’t want to utilise them to fill out your meals. Fruit is merely a snack for some extra energy throughout the day. The best diet in the world is completely useless if the person on it can’t stick to it. The best diet for you is the one you can stick to!

21.01.2022 Happy Friday all So good to be back in the gym! Great to have all my clients back in our sanctuary ... Welcome back and thanks for a great week! #grateful

18.01.2022 Big Shoutout to My man Brent Nealson Before: 82 Kg's Current: 72 Kg's... Goal: Full recomposition This legend managed to cut down on 2600 calories! whilst building up to a crazy 3600 calories! building muscle and getting leaner at the same time. Brent was just like most of us guys, spent too long in a bulking faze to scared to cut and lose that hard earned muscle! I have taught this guy the power of nutrition, how to use it and how to reduce bulk body fat while preserving and even adding lean tissue at the same time. This guy has an incredible work ethic and failure just isn’t an option for him. Not long until we bring out those summer shredz! keep up the good work brother!

16.01.2022 Are you wasting your time? Have you been exercising regularly for a while now, trying to make healthier alternatives but just can’t seem to see the results in yourself? Does this frustrate you putting in so much work but just can’t seem to get traction.. ... You show up to the gym several days per week and just seem to go through the motions with no structure. Wondering if you’ve done enough to cut a session. There’s nothing worse than sacrificing time from your family / friends and wasting money on gym memberships, personal training, supplements ect to not see results! I see to many people invest a few months of their lives into health and fitness to then give up wasting that time because they just can’t seem to get the results they want. Message me what you struggle with the most and I’ll happily give you the information you need in order to progress! You don’t have to eat boiled chicken and broccoli to get into shape just like you don’t have to train 6 days weekly for progress. Take action now and stop running in the wrong direction reach out and I’ll help. Have a great weekend! #impactelitecoaching

14.01.2022 Why You Should't Eliminate Discretionary Foods Completely! When it comes to fat loss, the last thing you want to do is eliminate something from your "diet completely. 2 reasons why,... 1. How long do you really think you’re going to actually last without the foods that provide you with comfort? 2. Think of yourself as a child, if you were ever deprived of anything lets' say chocolate. And you’re at a party with a shit load of chocolate, what are you going to do? Well your body does the same thing when deprived of carbohydrates & sugars. Because of the way our bodies use and store these, when deprived your body goes into overload, when you finally give in it then eventually shuts down and goes into storage mode. (This is what we call Yo-Yoing or the rebound effect) It does this because like a child it has no idea when your going to give in again so it goes F$C& you I'm holding on to this shit! If you maintain a well balanced "DIET" your body understands what to do with all foods, regardless of a little water the body will hold when overloaded with sodium and sugar from your "cheat meals". This temporary weight drops as soon as your back into consistent food and water intake and your straight back into fat loss! This provides less of a roller coaster effect and most of all you are able to eat for your "goals" 80% of the time and enjoy your comfort foods the remaining 20% of time. As long as your weekly average caloric intake remains less than what your body needs to maintain its current state, you give it no choice but to dip into its body fat stores (stored energy) to make up what it needs. This pretty well sums up FAT LOSS! If you are unsure of any of the above message me now and I'll gladly go over this with you so you can understand how to make the foods you ACTUALLY enjoy, work for you! Regards James

13.01.2022 Massive congratulations to one of the hardest workers in the room! I had the privilege to train this lady back at NRG Health Club for nearly 12 months dropping a massive 30kg’s in that time frame and then again during the Covid-19 lockdown period. She had continued on with her journey at Snap Fitness Gympie with Nigel David Daniel at take control PT once leaving NRG and what can I say, he’s done an unreal job with her. Well done brother During these challenging times she ...managed to drop another 3.5 kg’s, reducing 4.5cm off of her waist line and 3.5cm off of her hips. She literally come out of the lockdown ahead of the game without the use of gym facilities. It was definitely challenging to say the least but she made it work. This lady is a prime example of hard work pays off Well done to you Nettie Perren keep smashing your goals! #impactelitetraining

12.01.2022 this made me laugh! Cutting out bread isn’t solely responsible for weight loss. There is nothing wrong with bread alone as a carbohydrate source. Here are a couple of reasons why bread may hinder your progress as an individual. ... 1. You go so long without it, that when you do finally get it your stomach swells and bloats making you feel uncomfortable and fat 2. You have an intolerance to gluten. 3. Your body genuinely doesn’t respond to bread. Making you feel sluggish. Just remember bread and carbohydrates don’t make people fat. Consuming to many calories on average over your week / month is responsible for weight gain. Don’t just cut foods because people mindlessly rattle in about eliminating whole foods out of their diets. If you genuinely enjoy those foods and they don’t actually make you feel bad. Then learn how to make them work for you. Remember this is a games of sustainably doing what works for you.

04.01.2022 Prime example of the confusion around eating for health and eating for fat loss. Eating for health = Good quality micronutrients Eating for fat loss = Burning more calories than you consume... For longevity and depending on your goals, your going to want a balance of both. If your goal is weight loss, know your carbohydrates. The most common mistake for fat loss is loading up on fruit. Just because they are full of good quality nutrients doesn’t necessarily mean your going to lose weight. Carbohydrates ultimately are a primary energy source regardless of what kinds of foods you choose to get them from. Whether it be healthy fruit or a Mcdonalds burger, if your over consuming on total calories regardless of where you source it from, you will struggle to lose weight! Know what your doing in the gym but have no clue about the kitchen? If you lack structure in your training and nutrition I may have something perfect for you. Send me a message if your interested and let’s get you on the right path!
