19.01.2022 IMPACT FINANCE UPDATE: Changes to Comprehensive Credit Reporting (CCR) You may not be aware that Australia’s Credit Reporting system is changing. We think it is important to update you on these changes that banks will make to how they report your credit information onto credit reporting bodies and the impact this may have on your credit report. (Your credit report is what helps to determine your suitability for credit products such as a home loan, credit card or personal lo...an.) Comprehensive Credit Reporting (CCR), also known as ‘positive credit reporting’, will change the way that Banks report your credit information to credit reporting bodies. In turn, this may have an impact on your credit report. What are the changes? Currently, your credit report is only likely to include information such as: Any previous enquiries for credit products which you have made Any defaults on payments which were 60 days or more overdue. The change to CCR will mean your credit report may include information such as: When your account was opened or closed The type of credit account held The credit limit of the account Up to 24 months of repayment history. If you make your repayments on time, these changes are likely to be good for you. Over time you can build up a strong credit record which will provide a more accurate assessment of how you manage credit. If you’d like to know more there is a helpful resource with access to free credit reports and credit scoring. www.creditsmart.org.au . It is a free service and helps explain the changes in more detail. As always; please drop us an email at [email protected] or call the office on 07 3262 1122 if you have any questions.

07.01.2022 Mortgage brokers, like Impact Finance offer home buyers value, service and choice. The Government is going to be making some very important decisions regarding regulation and remuneration of Australian mortgage brokers. The Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking & Finance Industry included discussion about the introduction of a fixed-fee payment model for mortgage brokers. This would be paid by home loan customers. It could place the services of brokers beyond the ...reach of the people who need them most and irreparably damage brokers’ businesses. This could result in home buyers having less choice, eliminating healthy competition in our home loan market and making home loans more expensive. We value your support and appreciate the time taken to consider pledging your support. Please follow the link in the picture below and register.
