21.01.2022 A shout out for @InvisibleWomen and McKinsey & Company for bringing this research to light. It has implications for 1000's of businesses across every sector.

18.01.2022 Fear, denial, and the need to learn aren’t new challenges, but more senior executives are falling prey to them in today’s shockingly tough and fast-changing environment. It’s up to CEOs to help their leaders work through these issues, including the powerful emotions involved.

15.01.2022 The World Economic Forum’s annual study on gender parity among countries that are members of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) has been relaeased. Gender parity is measured in terms of the participation of men and women in society and the opportunities available to each gender in terms of access to health, education and employment, among others. The forum’s Global Gender Gap Report 2020 ranks countries in terms of their gender equality perform...ance. Those that have fought the pandemic most effectively and are led by women rank high on the list. The report also shows those same countries rank high when it comes to having women on corporate boards. It therefore leads us to conclude that more egalitarian societies are better managed. https://womensagenda.com.au//why-women-leaders-are-excell/

13.01.2022 I am interested in the development of Leadership consciousness. The development of consciousness can be mapped and is linked to a leader being able to understand and manage and work with complexity. That is called for right now. It is also correlated with the development of wisdom and leadership effectiveness. Both of those traits are also called for right now. Please join me in a conversation with Sister Jayanti as we explore this wonderful world: a fascinating deep-dive into 'The Nexis between Spirituality and Leadership." Next Thursday. Bookings are essential.

12.01.2022 Economies doing things differently. Well worth the read. It is time that we have a different economic model, that serves our planet as well as us. It just makes good business sense. What is the use of making large amounts of profit if you are robbing yourself, and others, of essential elements that we need to survive in the process? We talk about business getting smart. This is smart. Are you smart enough to understand this model and apply it to your own business?

07.01.2022 Changing leadership literacies. Are you up for it? This acutally requires a shift in consciousness. As a leader how are you focusing on the development of the consciousness of your leaders?

06.01.2022 "Our vulnerability and empathy have been awakened and it is possible that, after all this, the expectations on the private sector will be fundamentally altered, for the better. We now have a rare chance to hard-wire into our psyches this more enlightened conception of what good business looks like." https://hbr.org/2020/05/what-good-business-looks-like

04.01.2022 How are you going to lead post COVID-19?

04.01.2022 Take 5. https://youtu.be/DXZK_yEUQ9w

03.01.2022 I have just been out to dinner. The conversation turned to an observation: I am seeing in many leaders a higher than normal vulnerability and increased levels of anxiety. This, of course, I would muse, is a normal and natural response to the disruption of COVID-19. Maybe one of the gifts in COVID-19 is that the pandemic has highlighted the cracks that were already there which means that, if we actively address them, they have the potential to be reduced. ... As a result of Googles Aristotle project which identified factors that contribute to high performing teams, psychological safety is creeping into mainstream business understanding. The following quote is from Boyastiz and speaks to both the importance of psychological safety and why it is important that leadership is underpinned by empathy at this point in time..."stress-inducedwhether from the current uncertainty or even in normal times with the preoccupation on goals, metrics, and financialscan cause the activation of the psychophysiological state of the negative emotional attractor. This defensive state fills your brain with negative thoughts. And what becomes very clear in times like these is that once stress is aroused, even mildly, it can cause disorientation and cognitive and perceptual impairment." So - the invitation for us as leaders is to lead from a place of love and care and connection first. For some their very survival may depend on it.

03.01.2022 As workplaces all over the world adjust to their COVID-19 realities, it will be courageous and curious leaders that spur on successful teams, and reap the productivity rewards too. If you don't know how to do this it is time....
