18.01.2022 Update: Portable Fire Pits Due to the recent (and unexpected) growth of popularity, there has been an inrush of orders. There are currently delays on delivery as there is a backorder list. I ran my steel supplier dry of plate for 3 straight days just trying to keep up materials! Bulk order time. I thank everyone for their patience and ongoing support. Keep an eye on your method of contact for your consignment/pickup date. Thanks!

17.01.2022 What a month it has been so far! Have spent a fair bit of time doing on-site jobs around the area, but also had a workshop project to complete. Of course, made a few batches of fire pits to keep up with the demand! I will put up a few bits and pieces soon!

17.01.2022 If you can't find them, grind them! Well no chance of that on this truck. Operator lost shifting on the gearbox and was stuck in 1 gear. On arrival, the first port of call was the computer. A quick reteach got them back on the road. ... "How easy was that!" I thought. Well it was too good to be true. Next morning had a repeat of the previous days' drama. Next port of call was the shifting cylinder. On opening it up, a bit of 'not supposed to be there' come out. Water and electricals are not friends. Found that the solenoids were both functioning but the sensor was a no goer. A quick call and an airbagged shift cylinder later, the truck was back on the road again. Always love a happy ending.

14.01.2022 Public Service Announcement: Fuel Systems. Fuel. Everyone knows what it is and what it does. It's essential since motors don't run on hopes and dreams. Technology advances have found ways to improve its consumption and power (such as common rail on diesel), but the way we protect these systems is still old school. "Nah, it doesn't need a filter this service, it'll be right". You may be right. But deterioration of filter material is inevitable. Contaminants block the material...'s fine holes and reduce fuel flow. Some filter housings allow bypassing if filter becomes too restrictive, allowing dirty fuel to freely flow. Have you ever seen the common composition of a service station tank? Check out the attached picture for a friendly cartoon version. Using fuel from bulk tanks on farms and worksites are the most common places to encounter contaminants. Water, sludge, bacteria, biomass, condensation. Over 90% of fuel system problems are accounted to these contaminants alone. Biomass (also known as black death) is by far the worst introduction to a fuel system. Its name says it all. It destroys everything. Using protections such as CAV filters (a very fine particle filter close to tank for water separation) and fuel treatments (like Fuelset for biomass control) greatly aid in protecting the system. Change fuel filters regularly! Fuel up from clean sources! Use extra protections on your systems! Adding a filter system at storage facilities can greatly improve fuel quality! Fuel system maintenance is important and can cause you a lot of heartache (and pocketache) when it fails. Don't let your fuel system look like the one below. Monitor and maintain! If you have any questions feel free to ask as we are happy to help out.

14.01.2022 Public Service Announcement: Tyre Safety. Unless you are keen on meeting the big guy upstairs prematurely, or don't mind being the reason others get a pearly gate trip, it is imperative (see what I did there) that you check the condition of your tyres. Tyres are easily forgotten about. Yet those 4 handprints are all that are keeping tou safe out there. So why do we not pay enough attention to them?... As you can see in the picture, this is what happens when no attention is paid to the important stuff. The truck these 2 steer tyres came off weighs nearly 44 tons 24/7. On inspection, these tyres were found to be from 2011. That is very old in normal tyre years, but dangerously old in truck tyre years! The second pic explains how to read a tyre age. This method works for 2000 on. The first 2 digits are the week of manufacture (01-52), and the second 2 digits are the year. You will find these on your sidewall in a similar fashion to the picture. Check your tyres people! Check your tyre pressures! Check your tyre age! It only takes a couple of minutes to read the placard on your car (commonly on the door frame) and run the air compressor over the tyres when you are at the local service station fueling up. This could be what saves yours or anothers life. If you have any questions feel free to ask as we are happy to help out.
