25.01.2022 Repaired heat cracks in a International 282 manifold, should be good for another 50 years

25.01.2022 Its been too long since last post, but we have been busy on the Travelall with most of the bolt on panels repaired an ready to paint. We grit blasted the body last week uncovering many dubious repairs, lots of tacked in patchs with glass and bog over the top

25.01.2022 Making some progress on Travelall, unloaded all the bits out and did a stock take, suppressing most parts are there, only missing a front bumper and a travelall script badge. We have spent a few days aligning the panel. Looks like it has a new bonnet and radiator support panel. Guards and front doors ok but the rear LH door is a mess, doesnt fit the hole and has had dubious repairs in its life. We will be a few day on that.

25.01.2022 Hi all, JD model A progressing Blasted and primed, stripped it down bores are shot and will need to be bored and sleeved

22.01.2022 recently we gave Eric his Acco back. It was blue and his wife, Betty hated it so they gave it to us with a photo and said make this look like that!!. the cab was fairly straight, but had rust in all the usual Acco places, roof, gutter around windows and bottom of doors, so a bit of cutting, welding and panel work was required. tray was blasted and painted too.

17.01.2022 while the JD model As block is away getting bored and sleeved, I thought I would run the Super AM in for a "bit of love" fitted a refurbished manifold as the old one was a special 4 or 5 piece one, cleaned carby, new fuel lines & radiator hoses. built a reproduction battery box/ seat base, rebushed the seat, made a new steering wheel pedestal. repaired the switch box and fitted new battery leads. I put some serviceable tyres on, just need to repair and refit the bonnet, and overhaul the hydraulic cylinder and she will be useable again

15.01.2022 Steady progress on the Travelall, every thing unbolted that can be, we have grit blasted the bolt on panels with a few surprises. the rear left door is beyond repair, so I am fabricating a new one from window down. A slow process as the original didnt fit the hole, even the hinges are home made and rough, needing quite a bit of rework

13.01.2022 We have been moving along on the Travelall. We have grit blasted the hull and made some disturbing discoveries much rust in the roof, roof support structure and the sills/ door steps and quarter panels, pretty much every where really. It has had some pretty dodgy repairs done in her life. Patches tacked at 2inch intervals and sealed with fibreglas resin. The black around the roof skin is also resin been poured in an attempt to seal it, just creating much more work for us, unfortunately

09.01.2022 Impossible restorations next project John Deere A, 1947. Engine seized but tin is remarkably straight

04.01.2022 Well, it has been way too long since I shared anything the Travelall came to a screaming halt, and has gone into storage with the owner owing a large sum We have had the pleasure of restoring this Minneapolis Moline GB Diesel over the last few months, it spent its working life at Doen before being retired to Mornington about 20 years ago, hadn’t been going since. Mechanically didn’t require much, a light hone a valve grind, and a new clutch. The front end and drawbar wor...n out, new centre pivot and king pins were required. Those beautiful bid guards were very fatigue cracked and showing plenty of close encounters with plows and fence posts, lots of panel beating. The top and bottom radiator tanks were badly corroded, as none are available, they were powder welded and remachined. All finished now, as good as new and on its way back to the owner tomorrow See more

03.01.2022 Our latest resto, a nut and bolt restoration on this fantastic travelall

03.01.2022 Here is a few of the fabrication of the left rear door, a little more work to be done around the front of the window frame, but getting close to fitting correctly. As you can see, even the hinges were very poor and required a fair amount of work. As I mentioned earlier, the door didnt fit the frame, was too small with no possible way of the seal working, the door was full of lead, fibreglass and bog with a patch tacked into the bottom of the skin
