24.01.2022 Hi fellow members, I was talking with Impress member David Jones this morning. I happened to mention to him that I sometimes get asked if I would edition member's work either with or for them. When I said that I don't do this, he said that he did. So I said that I would let the rest of our members know through our Facebook page. So now you know! if you would like to print with David, you can contact him through his webpage - https://www.corvineart.com/contact-me

24.01.2022 Hi All Please read ALL of this necessarily long post for an update on how we are managing Impress Printmakers Studio during this health crisis. The Current Exhibition is Getting Back Together - Opening Sunday September 27 11am - 2pm 1. Impress Printmakers Studio is open to press bookings by individual artists working alone or with a person with whom they usually reside. Numbers in the studio at one time are limited. If using the studio please limit power and water use to con...serve resources. Do you need the air conditioner, now it is cooler? Book online and await confirmation of your appointment as usual. https://www.impress.org.au/studio-booking-form.html 2. Some MOB Days are cancelled until further notice. Some such as Etching, Lithography and Screenprinting have recommenced with limited numbers. www.impress.org.au 3. Workshops have recommenced and are being rescheduled in consultation with the Artist Tutors availability. Please consider booking these or even pre-booking places as Workshop income is Impress Printmakers Studio and Gallery's major source of income and we will have very limited income for the duration of this health crisis and economic hibernation. Similarly many Tutors are reliant on intermittent work for income and to support their artistic practice. Note advertised dates where they exist are all current. https://www.impress.org.au/workshops.html 4. We are taking bookings for gallery hire next year and the remainder of this year. Please book your preferred dates now as all current bookings will be moved to new dates in the future in consultation with the current hirers. Preference will be given in order of original booking. https://www.impress.org.au/gallery-hire-proposal-form.html 5. Membership subscriptions are more important to us than ever as these currently represent our last remaining form of income. Unfortunately, expenses remain the same as usual. Therefore, please consider renewing your membership and / or including a most welcome donation. https://www.impress.org.au/membership-application.html Stay safe and sane. Happy Printmaking! See more

05.01.2022 "This isn't just about the risk to livelihoods of artists, though that's huge, and it's not just the risk to organisations from closure. What's happening here is that enormous disruption and destabilisation of how we stay in contact with each other, how we engage with our own emotions, how we see each each other and socialise. "Arts and culture is all about that." National Association for the Visual Arts executive director Esther Anatolitis quoted in Financial Review
