20.01.2022 My latest blog on how we can make our audience more connected or more disconnected from us when we present...seen through the lens of your own truth, or universal truth. It's really important to check in that we're not making assumptions about our audience members, especially in a mixed type of group.

This Communication Masterclass is value-packed with tips and strategies designed to help you build confidence and personal presence when communicating. You will learn how to expand your influence, communicate your ideas effectively and increase your credibility. The Webinar is free. No salesly talk, just jam-packed with value! 16.01.2022 The certainty that we’re right. It’s everywhere in 2020. When we’re presenting an ideas-based talk and we feel this way, how might it play out negatively for our audience? Too much certainty can come across as arrogant, inflexible, dismissive to others. ... Of course we need to know our data and our beliefs to be effective - that’s a given. However, we want to have opinions, not come across as opinionatedand to convince our audience, not coerce them. So perhaps we need something more nuanced in our intention, and that something is, I believe, curiosity. Curiosity divides into two timeframes. Firstly, as we prepare our talk, being curious about our audience. What do they need from us? How can I make this particular point more clearly? How can I help them to connect with my content? The second timeframe is as we present - our delivery style. This translates to an openness or willingness to connect: the desire to be interested in our audience more than interesting to them. #presentationskills #communicationskills #publicspeaking #AcceleratedSpeakingResults
