25.01.2022 A massive congrats to one of our most loved members Lee aka The Captain for reaching 1000 classes today! Lee is well known for his infectious personality and is always the first one in the doors! 1000 classes over 3.5yrs is around 5.5 classes a week that is true dedication for someone who celebrated his 60th bday this last year ... Well done Lee! ABSOLUTELY MAGNIFICENT

25.01.2022 See you tomorrow guys

25.01.2022 Coming again soon! A great opportunity to learn more about fascia, the Anatomy Trains Fascial Lines, body reading, observing and changing posture, fascial touch and so much more. This 3 day workshop is great for personal trainers / movement coaches, manual therapists, osteos, chiros and more. Click on the link to see the full description. Any questions, just message us Priscilla Flynn or Nathan Flynn as we have done this particular module TWICE it was so good!

25.01.2022 TURKISH GET UPS I love Turkish Get ups! But what I love even more about the movement is you can use any tool to perform them with! I choose the ViPR instead of a kettlebell today because I’ve been on the laptop a little more this week and really needed to get my hands working more effectively! ... If you haven’t tried this version with a ViPR (12kg) give it a crack! A little hint, start with a lighter ViPR

24.01.2022 6am crew off and running! It’s so good to see everyone back in our space

24.01.2022 When it comes to managing and eradicating chronic pain, the worst thing you can do is treat the site of pain, or rest! The pain is happening for a reason, and you need to find out WHY if you want it gone. https://www.in2greatfitness.com.au//stop-treating-the-site

24.01.2022 Happy Birthday Nath!

24.01.2022 Wow!! Our very first female member to reach the #700club ! Congrats to Nicky (or as the 6am crew now call her.. TheFirst Lady Nicky has been so consistent with her training over the last few years and it’s always so good to recognise the hard work our members put into their own health & wellness! Congrats Nicky!

24.01.2022 ViPR is a popular class that helps increase wellness, reduce injury and fatigue, and complements any traditional weight program. Unique ViPR loaded movements will challenge your whole system to increase efficiency, strength, coordination and provide a supreme metabolic response. ViPR provides athletic flowing, variable and nourishing movements that help build every day strength and mobility. It’s one of the best ways to challenge your too!

23.01.2022 The more we learn, this is the stuff that matters the most. And yes we'll say it - it matters more than what you eat, and exercise Get your circadian rhythms optimised with nature, and you can prevent, or even reverse disease processes. By prioritising light natural exposure and reducing artificial light at night (ALAN), you can increase energy, lose weight, improve cellular health, slow aging, and basically just lead a healthier life. Reach out to us if you need help in making these changes, there are so many things you can do to improve your circadian rhythms, quality of life, and longevity. DRAMATIC changes await

22.01.2022 Impressive speed and flow Stu! Love the rhythm of this move

21.01.2022 'Fantastic space to train in. Very individualised approach tailored to each participants needs, with a great community vibe. They have a unique point of difference to any other training studio's I have tried. You can definitely tell that Priscilla and Nathan put their heart and soul into everything they do. Definitely recommend!' Thanks Olivia!

20.01.2022 We made the switch to online training last week and have ensured we keep that personal touch, interacting and providing options for all ranges of ability, and daily readiness. Here is a snippet of part of the session with Nath this morning. We have options to exercise online with us for a purely body weight based workout, and/or a loaded workout leasing equipment (ViPR, Sandbell, dumbbell etc) from us, or using your own. You can train body weight classes only for $20 a week ...or choose the package option that includes all classes and leasing our equipment for $50 a week. If money is an issue we are totally happy to negotiate to keep you moving through this tough time! We are loving seeing so many of you staying active during lockdown! If you need a hand reach out we are here to help.

20.01.2022 Over the past 90 days in isolation, we've had some huge class milestones The biggest milestone was Lee hitting his 1000th class in isolation! Lee has been one of our most consistent members over the past 3-4 years. Coming to an average of 5.5 classes a week over his time with us! Lee was awarded his trophy and will hold onto it for a while ;) The next milestone was Nicky "The First Lady" Lennon who reached 900 classes! Nicky is the only female to hit 900! Amazing effort... Nicky :) Massive congrats to Ian & Jayne who hit their 800th class and lastly congrats to Gustavo on reaching his 700th class as well! Looking forward to celebrating everyone's achievements over the next week

18.01.2022 Well fancy that, your sensation of pain intensity is related to stress, emotion, nervous system tension etc. So if your chronic pain is lingering with no change, let's look outside the site of pain and think about physical and emotional stress, lifestyle factors, and more for a more comprehensive solution. Watch the first 3 minutes if you are interested in hearing from one of the leading experts in soft tissue. https://www.youtube.com/watch

18.01.2022 If only I had teachers like my sister Amanda Lee when I was in year 7! As part of the Year 7 Physical Education curriculum, the students study Dance. Amanda Lee has been teaching her classes onsite from the College and whilst teaching, has invited other staff members to join her for a boogie. Even the College Principal joined in on the action!! ... ‘Cotton Eye Joe’. GO AMANDA!!! ENJOY GUYS!

18.01.2022 What an incredible day of learning for these @pta_au Cert IV students Today they designed a Progressive & Traditional circuit. The laughing and banter was so good to see! Knowing your clients #mostyle is essential for all programming! It’s all about moving and having fun! ... Which one do you think this was.. traditional or progressive? #momstyle #strengthtraining #vipr #trx @flynny82 #momstyle #strengthtraining #vipr #trx ##loadedmovementtraining

18.01.2022 Not often I get a break early morning, so I took full advantage of the time I had with a HIIT session! Picked a few of my fav moves and here’s a sneak peak of my workout with my Heart Rate chart at the end!

17.01.2022 If someone is telling you your pelvic floor is ‘weak’ then you need to find another professional to zoom out and look bigger picture. As the simplified pic below demonstrates, the pelvic floor is intricately connected to the whole system in a variety of ways, not just as these lines indicate. Let’s not forget the pure volume of visceral organs and all those soft tissue joints, and the structures above and below. If the whole picture isn’t addressed, then it’s unlikely problems, or compensations can be resolved. This applies to any part of the body, not just the pelvic floor.

17.01.2022 We can’t wait to see you all back next Monday June 22nd onwards. After measuring out the space we are thrilled we can comfortably fit 10 people per class complying with the 2x2 meter rules. Each training block has its own sanitizer. The best feature is the runway down the centre

17.01.2022 How great is our new turf? Everyone has been loving our extra long new grass! So lush it just makes you want to move!

16.01.2022 A massive congrats to two of our members who reached huge milestones this week! @melissa_brown70 for reaching 500 classes (15th In2great member to do so!) and @jaynejosem for 800 classes (top 5 of all!)... Both of you girls have Dedicated & committed maintaining a healthy habit over the years Well done girls! #500club #800club #dedication #healthylifestyle #in2greatfitness

16.01.2022 We love incorporating he overhead ViPR Pendulum into our workouts! It’s been a while, so not a quick as I once was, but felt amazing!! Who wants to try it this week?

16.01.2022 Mixing my morning workout out with a Vipr flow! Vipr halo into an ice skater Might be trying this one during the week in the classes!! Who’s up for it??

14.01.2022 Having a bit of fun with a ViPR tap and a brain challenge this morning. It was all fun and games until it turned into a race.

It’s so good to see that our members are still looking after their health and well being in the comfort of their own homes! 13.01.2022 Keen as to open tomorrow, and so relieved to see many members returning! Looking forward to a great first week back with you all

13.01.2022 We got to see a draft version of this last year and it is incredible! Check it out if you are interested in a deeper understanding of your anatomy, and how you can gain efficiency, mobility, health and wellness by addressing your connective tissue.

12.01.2022 This is our last week as Directors at In2great Fitness. We wanted to just write one last post before we handover the reigns to Sean next week. Thank you to all of our members (and a huge shout out to those of us who are still with us from our Fitness First days) for your incredible support of us. Thanks for embracing our weird and wacky ways that go against the fitness norm. Most of all, thanks for allowing us to help you honor your bodies brilliant intelligence, to train wi...th humility, listening to how your body feels, rather than just smashing it. Our biggest joy is being able to have created a space that has changed the way people feel about fitness, to make it enjoyable, essential, and not a chore. This last 7 years has sure been a roller coaster journey! 2 floods, a baby, a pandemic, but so many sweaty smiles, on point heart rate charts, blissful powerplate flushes, fun classes and amazing members. We are so proud to have created a wonderful space to move and train for wellness, happiness, and community, not just fitness. We love the welcoming community our magnificent members have built, to be inclusive and supportive to all abilities and ages. Although we are sad to no longer be running the show, we are thrilled that Sean will be looking after you all. We look forward to seeing you all in classes, or in PT sessions in the future. P will be in this Saturday between 8:30-9:30 for anyone who wants to meet our baby Sky. Thanks for everything for the last time, Nath and P

12.01.2022 Happy Birthday Stu! Hope you have a ripper of a day with the family! Thank for on behalf of P, myself and the members for bringing such a positive attitude into our classes #happybirthday #birthdaycake #turning21again

12.01.2022 Gyms closing from 12pm today. Not 100% sure if we are included in this but we will update as soon as we know. Here is what our class setup currently looks like. Small classes capped at 6 with 2x2 meter personal space, no equipment sharing, and of course basic hygiene set up with antibacterial sprays and wipes at each station with its own bin. Fingers crossed we can be exempt from the generic announcement that ‘gyms’ must close which we are hoping might just refer to large commercial gyms and not boutique small groups who comply with social distancing. We’ll update ASAP

12.01.2022 Here we go again, back to online training! We sincerely hope you are all coping well with the sudden lockdown. Sending our best wishes to all those doing it tough. 11.01.2022 Introducing the cert III students from PT Academy to some loaded movement using some of our fav tools! Learning about how the body can move effectively in all 3 planes of motion! Great work guys

11.01.2022 We train exclusively barefoot in our studio. This is liberating for most people, but confronting for some. We often get asked by new members with foot pain whether we will allow them to train in shoes, and our answer is always a firm no. Training people in shoes goes against everything we believe in for helping the body to function more efficiently. In shoes (especially traditional running shoes) the arch is highly molded into a 'support' reducing the ability for the foot to ...move, shock absorb and produce force. The toes (esp the all important big toe) are elevated from the floor reducing the ability to load the whole body properly, and the heel is elevated reducing ankle, knee and hip movement. In shoes, we can't see how your foot loads, unloads or cheats in movement, so we can't give you the best coaching. And in shoes you can't sense the ground accurately, which robs you of whole body proprioception, which is crucial for anyone - ESPECIALLY those with foot pain! Recently PT student Annette experienced the fear and then joy of going barefoot, while training in our studio. Here is what she has to say about it. ""My first barefoot work out experience was attending a PT training workshop held by Nathan. To say I was a little apprehensive is an understatement. I had injured my back in 2012 and have suffered chronic back pain ever since, I was wearing orthotics in all my shoes and I never wore bare feet I was pleasantly surprised with the experience, this was followed by a chance meeting with a pain specialist, an appointment with a physiotherapist who deals with people who suffer chronic pain . Following their advice ,I'm now pain free for the first time in seven years its amazing, I no longer wear orthotics. Thank you Nathan for planting the seed that saw me seek medical advice and reassess how I move my body, its been life changing."

11.01.2022 What a ripping turn out to our first online circuit class in iso! It was great to see some new faces in the crowd and challenge those who are online the second time round! #movementismedicine #onlinetraining #in2greatfitnessandwellness #strengthtraining #bodyweightexercises

11.01.2022 What an amazing achievement to stay so active in lockdown! Absolutely stellar effort guys

11.01.2022 Who’s keen for some ViPR flow tonight at 6?

10.01.2022 Congrats to our 1st member to reach the 800th club! Can he get 1000 classes by 31st December.. now that would be an incredible milestone Great work Lee!

10.01.2022 After 7 months, we are finally back next Monday 9th November and we are PUMPED! Classes will look a little different for awhile, but we are just relieved to be able to see all our members smiling faces in person, and bring our community back together again. Lockdown has been tough on all of us, and we really appreciate everyone who stuck with us so we can reopen again. It's been great to see many of you online, but we just can't wait to see you all back in the sweaty flesh! ...Can we have a round of applause for Nath for doing virtually all of the lockdown online classes since March27th!! While juggling the crazy stress of a closed small business, a severely injured wife, and a newborn! He's been a an absolute champion through all of this, and we have had such great feedback as always, about Nath's wonderful energy, ability to cater to members specific needs, and so much more. Really looking forward to seeing you guys next week!

09.01.2022 His & hers #26weekspregnant with @sillyflynn Me & Bub are feeling great and thank you for all your lovely messages Priscilla is feeling ok too ... #mitochondria #sunrise #lovinglife #toughgig

09.01.2022 Congrats to Ian Jickell on his 800th Class in this mornings FIRST online class. It was certainly a different experience, but so happy you got to move :) Ian had the highest class attendance for 2019 with a staggering 275 classes! That's an average of just over 5 classes a week (and he even went away on holidays too!) Congrats Ian on such a consist year. He's already 2nd highest in 2020! Well done

09.01.2022 We haven’t been posting much thanks to this growing baby bump that has taken over the last 6 months. For those who don’t already know, we have a baby girl due in January

08.01.2022 Another milestone Congrats to Gustavo, who has consistently been one of the regular 6am crew to reach 600 classes! Gustavo loves to challenge himself every morning and we love how committed he is every morning running himself through his movement prep routine! Preparation is key ... Well done Gustavo!

08.01.2022 If you don’t measure, you don’t really know! After years of using HR monitors, training without a monitor is like training blind to us. We find so often that ones ‘perceived exertion’ of how intensely they are responding to the workout is at a mismatch as to what is happening. The heart doesn’t lie. Heart rate training is so important for those of us who are not so connected to the precious feedback our body tells us. HR training enhances your feedback loop, and tells us ...how efficient you are at a particular movement, on a particular day. Sometimes the HR feedback matches how you feel. Other days when physical or emotional stress, pain or other lifestyle factors like nutrition or hydration get in the way, the feedback might be at a mismatch to how you feel. It’s important to take notice of what your heart is telling you because great heart rate variability is a HUGE predictor for increased health, longevity and positive emotions.

07.01.2022 Happy Easter everyone! We hope you have had a great opportunity to relax, unwind and PLAY! If you want to see Nath’s best dance floor moves, check out our instagram stories for a laugh

07.01.2022 Yesterday we celebrated 800 classes for Rani and 500 classes for Amanda! Amazing effort guys! Rani has been in the top 10 attendees every year since 2015 which is a huge effort. The only member with more classes thus far is Lee.

06.01.2022 Members! Tell us what you think about our proposed May timetable! We propose adding an extra 9 classes a week after Easter to alleviate the waiting lists.

06.01.2022 2nd move this morning was DB uppercuts!

06.01.2022 Keep moving through this madness! It’s one of the best things you can do for your resilience

05.01.2022 I wanted to challenge my body with some agility training this morning so I decided to go with an obstacle course! Obstacle courses are fantastic! The race against time! I was a bit slow on this one, just over a minute... who’s up for the challenge for completing this under a minute? Enjoy your Tuesday

05.01.2022 If you're free Friday night and have had a stressful week, come in and join one of our trainers Wendy Goujon and immerse yourself in the wonders of sound healing Starting with a muscle relaxation meditation, you will then enjoy the sounds of the Tibetan bowl, tuning forks, buffalo drum and shaker. Integral sound healing is a healing modality that treats the whole body. It applies sound techniques to facilitate healing integrating ancient wisdom, modern science, art, music...ality and the alchemy of healing. Great way to star your long weekend!

05.01.2022 Thanks Jon for your feedback of our online classes ‘It is Nathan & Priscilla that have always made the difference at this gym. They make working hard fun, most importantly, they manage to tailor their group sessions to individuals within the group. They’ve done a brilliant job in making sure that personal service has continued through Zoom and the fact that it remains interactive means you keep working harder than if you’re just watching a 1 way video. Brilliant!’

04.01.2022 P is officially on Maternity leave and as you can see, almost ready for baby Flynn to arrive! 37.5 weeks and still moving well

04.01.2022 Overall it’s always good to incorporate all training zones into your workout Started with some movement prep with foam roller and power plate, then steady state (70%) with some low intensity movements, then the bulk of the workout (reach 90%, then recover to 65%) then one big burst of high intensity and recovery to finish Feeling good!

03.01.2022 Here is our class timetable commencing November 9th Hooray. As per restrictions classes are capped at 8, and are filling fast already, so book in quick!! we hope that restrictions ease soon and we can bring back the variety of classes you all love, like ViPR, Kettlebells, Core, TRX etc

03.01.2022 Reminiscing a bit of ViPR 3D30 choreography today. Who else misses this great MOSSA program? Nothing quite as satisfying as moving to the rhythm

02.01.2022 Move differently every time! Can you do it without thinking too hard, self judging or being too technical? The benefits of this kind of subconscious movement go beyond ‘fitness.’ Novel and variable, movement like this builds a resilient whole - from soft tissue, to bones. It benefits brain function, stress reduction, to enhances emotional state. When was the last time you trained without thinking so hard about which arm goes where? Just grab a tool, get your head out of the way and have a play, you won’t regret it!

02.01.2022 A simple ViPR cylinder lift is so much harder than it looks! The unique grip challenges arm and core strength in a big way. Today I wanted to lift heavy, but being pregnant, I had to break up the lift so opted to step into load, lift, step away and allow the body to unload. Tough work!

01.01.2022 Massive congrats to Dale for reaching her 400th class Amazing work Dale!!

01.01.2022 Thanks Sarah for sharing your experience of our online classes! 'Wanted to thank you for setting up the awesome body weight virtual classes at this time of social distancing and isolation. It’s usually really difficult for me to get to a class or a session but isolation and your innovation has made it so easy! I look forward to the classes each week which are still really challenging and rewarding. I always finish the session feeling like I’ve done a great workout and still ...smiling because you keep it fun and engaging. I’ve even managed to get my husband to do the classes too (along with some PT with you). For someone who hasn’t done a gym workout for a long time he’s loving it! Hopefully this is something you might continue delivering after isolation finishes, it’s a great option for parents of young kids who can’t get to class (or live a fair way away as we do)!'

01.01.2022 These look delicious! And great for those with small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) which is every second person these days!

01.01.2022 Congrats to one of our 6am members Shannyn for hitting the 600th club this week For those who know Shan, she loves her training and gives it 100% as you can see by the second photo Congrats @shannynmerlo

01.01.2022 What an incredible group of cert IV students we had today! We covered all things from assessing posture, foam rolling, group training and and great workout at the end All passionate and energetic @PTA_au students learning about movement and how to have fun!!
