24.01.2022 Camera in top of tank monitoring water level sending live video direct to your mb ph.

20.01.2022 Most of the day spent at Bool Lagoon with Michael John Hayes upgrading one of the first and most challenging of our towers. New solar, battery and frame improves maintenance and hopefully makes for even more stable internet. Constant evolution and improvement to our network to get the city's internet out to those whose only choice is bugger all.

20.01.2022 Hi everyone, This week in2it is moving its office back to our home base at Lochaber. Although the message is a bit short notice we’ve been planning this for a couple of months now. As the majority of our work is based around onsite, remote and phone support, sales and service and the installation of wireless networks, the need for an office in Naracoorte has significantly reduced. The decision hasn’t been made due to a lack of work. On the contrary the demand for what we’...re doing continues to increase. Apart from our shipping address, everything else remains the same including the service we offer, phone numbers, email addresses, postal address and so on. During the move the phone may go through to message bank but that will be getting checked constantly throughout the day. We have arranged with Office National in Naracoorte for a facility to drop and collect equipment where we cannot come and collect it personally from you. There will be a small form to fill out if you do and this is only for tracking purposes. We will have identified prior to the drop what the issue is so you won’t need to re-explain it to the Office National Staff. Luke from our Office will be going past Office National twice daily along with the multiple occasions where our other staff are coming into Naracoorte for work or personal reasons. We don’t anticipate the repair time will be any different to what we deliver now. If you have any queries about the move please don’t hesitate to call us on 8762 4587. Cheers and thanks, Dan.

16.01.2022 For those of you in Regional Oz that have issues with Mobile phone coverage this is for you. Wifi Calling is a recently released upgrade to the Major Telco networks and for us living in the country it’s the biggest game changer since 3G rollout. Here’s what you need:... Good Wifi in your premises A stable internet connection. 4G, (3G works too but not as seamless), NBN Wireless or ADSL. Even NBN Satellite works and it will cover networks other than Telstra. We’ve successfully tested a call between 2 phones connected to Satellite Internet. In that example there was a delay but it beats the alternative of no mobile coverage or funding a Sat Phone. Turning on is simple and free IF you have a relatively new smart phone. If you’re running anything less than an IPhone 6 or Samsung S7 then it’s time to upgrade. The biggest advantage to this technology is once you have internet to your premises then you can push mobile coverage to the same areas that you’re needing wifi. For some of us that’s just around our house and can be done with an Access Point in the roof. For others like those on in2it’s various networks, it means coverage can be extended to the sheds or even out to the paddocks. One customer who has our cameras on a tank over 60km’s from their homestead, also now has mobile coverage out there as well. For those in locations such as Mundulla or Kyby who are patiently waiting for their promised Mobile towers, this is also for you. Most of the info you need is in the link below. If you just want the instructions on how to turn it on, scroll to the bottom! https://crowdsupport.telstra.com.au//Telstra-W/ba-p/619260 Please share. Cheers.

16.01.2022 Crypto Virus is doing it's rounds again at the moment in the form of an email from AGL. If you get one - DON'T click on it! http://www.mailguard.com.au//agl-scam-carrying-crypto-rans

16.01.2022 Windows 10 Upgrades are happening again. If you get a blue screen with welcome to windows 10 these are the steps to bail on it. If you want to stop it happening in the future install GWX Control Panel (See earlier post) Cheers

16.01.2022 Great weather for this job. Solar upgrade on wifi repeater.

15.01.2022 Telstra have announced new Home Wireless Data Plans of $150 / 50GB. Still a way to go before it compares to CBD Broadband Pricing but it's a start. For any on 15 - 25GB Plans or those considering NBN Satellite to get more data, this is your solution. This is for Telstra Devices only NOT Bigpond. We are told that Bigpond customers will have to change to Telstra Mobile Broadband to get these plans. The upgrade is not automatic - you will need to call / login to Telstra to get this plan change. Office National in Naracoorte can assist with new plans where required. We can't see this on the Telstra Website yet but will post when available. Please share - there will be plenty out there who will be happy to hear this news. Dan

14.01.2022 A heads up that scammers are at it again. Ignore the calls from Telstra or microsoft who want access to your PC to fixed issues they say it has informed them of. Don't give your CC Card out either or it all ends badly. T'is the season! Please be wary. Cheers.

12.01.2022 Welcome to those new to our page. This has been the week for Cryptolocker Virus and Windows 10 Upgrades. Re Cryptolocker - it generally hits your computer after clicking on an emailed attachment. Usually in messages titled Australia Post, ATO, Australian Federal Police and so on. If you do open one of these files accidently and realise it, shut down or pull the power on your PC immediately . Remove any backup drives as well. Unfortunately most don't realise whats occu...rred and only find out when they go to open a document. The message here is: Don't click on any attachments even if youre expecting something such as a parcel. If the ATO want money out of you they have other means of getting in touch and the AFP don't issue speeding tickets! If you do get hit the best option to recover your information is from a backup. Full system backups are by far the best. But, if the backup was plugged in at the time of infection that will be encrypted as well. Shadow copies are also a good option but they're not always available. If you're not backing up your computer to multiple external drives or to an external drive + something online (like dropbox, one drive, Mozy, AVG Backups) then you really should be - if you have the data plan to support it. It is the first thing you will be asked for in the event of the above occurring, or your computer fails for other reasons. It doesn't take long to do and you'll love that you did it if something goes wrong. Cheers. See more

12.01.2022 in2it landline number is currently saying its disconnected. Trying to resolve with Telstra. In the interim, if you need anything, please call my mobile. Cheers, Dan

09.01.2022 Good morning, Be aware there is another round of Australia Post Emails going around this morning. If you're expecting a parcel don't click on any links - just delete the email. If you realise you have clicked on a bad link, pull out any backup drives and power down your computer immediately (even if it means pulling the plug or holding the power button in for 5 seconds). Don't turn it back on until you get your IT person / people to check over it.. Cheers

07.01.2022 Telstra outage today affecting NBN and ADSL. http://www.smh.com.au//telstra-outages-hits-nbn-and-adsl-s

06.01.2022 General consensus with Macs is they're resistant to Viruses / Malware. Our recent experience has shown that around 80% of those that come through the door have had multiple infections of some kind. AVG have a free Antivirus http://www.avg.com/au-en/avg-antivirus-for-mac and Malwarebytes (MBAM)https://www.malwarebytes.org/antimalware/mac/ also now have a Malware remover, both for Mac. AVG takes a while to scan whilst MBAM is all done in less than 10 seconds. Both require recent versions of the OSX operating system. They will tell you if you need to upgrade. Here to help if you have any queries. Dan

05.01.2022 Windows 10 continues to either work well or bring computers to their knee's. Over the past few weeks we've had many examples where Windows 10 has automatically installed. In 1 case it stopped a business for nearly 24 hours whilst things were either pushed forward or rolled back. Windows 10 is an upgrade and yes it may be free but it doesn't mean it's going to be any better for you. The issue is how it will affect your existing system / business. We still supply computers... to businesses and most consumers with Windows 7 Installed. When setting up new machines, we are happy to install Windows 10 because we can address the issues there and then before a business becomes dependent on it. If you like Windows 7 and they way it looks then stay with it. Which brings me to this post. If you're sick of the constant prompts to upgrade or you're wondering why your wireless data is disappearing into the ether, then try the following free tool called GWX Control Panel. Download, Unzip and install via the link below then click on the buttons as highlighted in the attached screenprint. We've tried and tested it here and it works well. Cheers to Bill Smith for the original info. Dan. https://www.dropbox.com/s/086t1n5/GwxControlPanelSetup.zip

04.01.2022 Afternoon all, Apart from a room full of boxes to unpack we have now completed our move back to our original office at Lochaber. Remember if you have something to get to us, it can be dropped at Office National, 65 Smith Street, Naracoorte. Or, we can meet you or you can come to us at 525 Morambro Road, Lochaber... Of course we can still assist you via remote support, phone or come to your office / house. Apart from the shipping address nothing else has changed. Cheers, in2it

04.01.2022 Link to New Wireless Data Plans just mentioned. Please share https://www.telstra.com.au//broadb/home-wireless-broadband

03.01.2022 Some info on the wannacry crypto virus that's been on the media. https://www.lifehacker.com.au//wannacry-ransomware-explai/ Lots of talk about making sure your computer security is up to date but little it seems on making sure your computer is backed up. Good time to check this and make sure its being done. Remember - If you're hit by a Crypto Virus it will also hit any external backup drives, USB's and shared network drives connected to your computer as well. Hence the reason for multiple backup drives and locations. Please review your backup processes and just make sure you're covered. Cheers,

03.01.2022 if youre getting a message from AVG Antivirus re trojan horse in native images please ignore. its a false positive. AVG should sort asap. cheers.

03.01.2022 Next stage of in2it wifi complete. Next one up in a few weeks. Keeps us busy but with the stroke of a pen from government and some telstra plan changes, majority of regional internet demands outside of town would be met through the 4G 700 rollout without the need for NBN wireless! 40+ mbps off the pinnaroo tower on a modem and 107mbps off the mobile says it all!! In most cases where signal is weak, all it needs is a decent antenna. In2it's longest connection is 62km to a station in the flinders giving them phone and decent school of the air connection. Very common to connect 20 to 30 kms and with a booster gives you mobile in the house as well. But it doesnt fix the data volume issue which for everyone on regional wireless internet is the real issue! Food for thought for the powers that be. Cheers
