25.01.2022 Furnishing your room with a difference. Bring rich hues and texture to your living room by stepping away from the safeness of having every item similar in style. If for instance you have a plain 3-seater sofa and want to change it up add 1 or 2 armchairs in a totally different style that can be upholstered in a different fabric pattern and colour. Once you have decided on the armchair solution, one standalone furniture piece adds so much character to a somewhat meh room. If y...our style and size of your room permits add side tables with table lamps to give the room a soft ambience. If you have floor boards or a plain carpet a rug adds enormous atmosphere, as long as it all works together. Of course, decorator items, soft furnishings, mirrors and art pieces are the glue that bring everything together and most importantly need to work with the theme you are embarking on. #styling #interiorstyling #creativestyling Images via Pinterest See more

22.01.2022 What a fantastic colour "Living Coral" is! Be daring and paint a feature wall in your family area like this image shows. The colour has been described as "an animating and life-affirming coral hue with a golden undertone that energises and enlivens with a softer edge". I totally get that!

09.01.2022 I am still loving freestanding baths and have placed them in a few homes over the past few months. If at all possible and depending on the space that you have to work with, create a resort feel by adding either a stand alone or a back to wall freestander. If you are doing a home reno and space is limited and you have to decide if it is a shower or a bath? why not go for both, with a shower over the bath and adding the very dreamy shower curtain as shown in the image by Photographer Maree Homer. If you are thinking of renovating please call me for a chat on 0407842846.

07.01.2022 2019 is the year for jewel colours to be showcased. I came across these stunning pendant lights today and just had to post them. I would love to see any of these beauties in a master bedroom hanging either side of the bed with a velvet covered bed head and oh my goodness I could go on forever here. The lights are Flauti by Giopato & Coombes. #blownglasslights #murano #pendantlights

07.01.2022 The new colour in town! Pantone colour of the year for 2019, the beautiful lively, playful and sociable "Living Coral". Living Coral is a peachy orange shade of coral with a golden undertone, it gives a presence of welcoming warmth. "The Colour Institute stated the colour was inspired by endangered sea reefs and global political crises". Living Coral is a wonderful accent colour for soft furnishings, decorating items and adds a stunning warm ambience for a feature wall.... For those who are looking to change colour accents this is a winner all round :) See more

06.01.2022 The beauty of wallpaper. Instead of having painted feature walls wallpaper is a wonderful way to introduce colour, pattern and texture into a room to give it pop. It is the perfect solution for that instant dash of stylishness and charm and if you want the wallpaper to jump out at you when you enter a particular space you are considering, give thought to where the focal point is that your eye goes to first. Also, if you want to showcase a particular statement piece, wallpaper... on the wall behind will draw more positive attention to it, and it is essential that the design fits with your existing décor. Generally, it is best if you choose a wall that has no windows or doors in it as this is not the ideal place to make a style statement. Natural light plays a very important factor in the location of your wallpaper. For example, a dark wallpaper in the dimmer area of a room will show shadows and make the room appear darker. So. if possible, try and use a wall that is bathed in natural light. The blue wallpaper is Casamance Ernest Pavillon is inspired by graphics of the Roaring Twenties. There are 4 beautiful colourways in the range. The other image is Casamance La Soie that shows textures of silk with a suggestion of knots and slubs that enhances the touchy-feely of true silk with every shimmering shade you could possibly want. #wallpaper #wallpaperdecorating See more
