25.01.2022 Everyone is looking for ideas of what they can do during isolation. Why not become a rockstar?

25.01.2022 A big milestone was celebrated over the weekend - Ken turned 60! While birthdays may be celebrated a little differently during this time, they are still just as special!
25.01.2022 INALA FAIR RAFFLE NOW LIVE! We are excited to be able to hold our Inala Fair Raffle online, when circumstances meant that the Fair itself was unable to go ahead. With the help of some very generous supporters we have put together a fabulous raffle. Head to the link below to purchase your tickets! ... The raffle will be drawn on the 26th October and winners will be notified by email.
25.01.2022 Our annual Castle Hill Golf Day was scheduled for this coming Tuesday and would have been the 25th anniversary of the event! In light of the COVID-19 situation and related government restrictions, unfortunately we were unable to go ahead with the event. We are still keen to mark the occasion and continue with our fundraising efforts. With the help of some very generous supporters we have put together a fabulous raffle and wanted to invite our wonderful Facebook community to p...articipate. Tickets can be purchased through the link below, which also details all the incredible prizes up for grabs! https://inala.org.au/events/castle-hill-golf-day-raffle/ All proceeds will go towards Inalas Accommodation Appeal with the goal to build two purpose designed homes for the many people on our waiting list who are seeking a home at Inala. We are very pleased to report we are more than half way to our goal and we are close to securing land to build the first home. Together we can create opportunities for more individuals to create a life of their own. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our very generous sponsors for donating their sponsorship fee to Inala despite the event not proceeding. We are incredibly appreciative of their continued and ongoing support.
25.01.2022 We are ready to enjoy some sunshine again! What are some of your favourite outdoor activities?
24.01.2022 Everyone loved hearing about the MasterChef challenge residents at Inala were taking part in - so we thought we would put together a few more photos! Head to our website to check them out https://inala.org.au/news/masterchefs-in-the-making/
24.01.2022 It is with great sadness that we announce we have made the difficult decision to cancel the Inala Fair for 2020. With the current government restrictions on the number of people gathering in a public space, as well as the risk associated with the health and wellbeing of members of the Inala community, we believe this was the only viable course of action. We greatly appreciate all the support we receive for the Fair and will continue to explore other ways to maintain engagemen...t with the wider community. We would like to thank you everyone for their support and understanding. For more information, see our latest news post.
23.01.2022 Some beautiful felt poppies made in honour of ANZAC Day. "They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning... We will remember them." Lest We Forget.
23.01.2022 John Billing, international lyre musician and songwriter, has been a long-time friend of Inala and was due to visit us during his Australian tour with Michiko. During his visits he was going to put on several concerts and workshops for the Inala community, however the tour was unfortunately cancelled due to COVID-19. While we can longer enjoy his live concert, we have certainly been enjoying his new CD Safe during lockdown! If you would like to enjoy some beautiful music and support John, you can purchase this CD by contacting Dorothy Wright on [email protected]
22.01.2022 Thumbs up for the weekend!

20.01.2022 What better way to soak up the winter sunshine than with an outdoor birthday lunch! Annabels birthday last week was certainly celebrated in style, dont you think?!
20.01.2022 What better way to end the week than a ladies pamper day!

16.01.2022 A friendly Friday reminder that while restrictions may be easing, our hand hygiene shouldnt be! Remember to spend 20 seconds washing your hands with soap and water. Here is a helpful hand infographic from NSW Health. https://bit.ly/2ZOXiUC
15.01.2022 Today was meant to be our annual Mothers Day Lunch event. As with many parts of life lately, things looked a little different this time around! Eager to still be able to connect with our wonderful community, we adapted to the situation (as demonstrated by Lucy, our Communcations and Engagement Manager) and held our first ever virtual event! Thank you to everyone who joined in and all who supported the event through donating prizes, purchasing raffle tickets or donating to our Accommodation Appeal!
15.01.2022 This week we have seen an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in our local area. We want to reassure our wider community that we are okay, and all necessary precautions are being taken to minimise risk and to help ensure members of the Inala community remain healthy and well. We appreciate the concern from our wider community and wish to thank everyone for their continued support of Inala through this challenging time. Please continue to be vigilant and practice social distancing, good hygiene and follow Government guidelines on wearing masks in areas where you cannot socially distance, particularly in indoor areas. We are all in this together, and as a community we will get through it.
14.01.2022 If you cant go to the supermarket, bring the supermarket to you! Ken, Leighton and David had lots of fun with this food & numeracy activity - so much so that they even wrote a poem, titled "Ode to Food". "Food, oh food... You put me in a good mood Im happy when you are in my tummy Especially when you taste yummy! Whether its banana milkshake, bread or cake Make no mistake Just eat food for goodness sake!" See more
13.01.2022 Part of our ethos at Inala is the belief that a community exists when people experience a sense of belonging, when people know each other, support each other and each person is enabled to contribute in his or her own way. For over 60 years we have had many people join the Inala Community, and with their support, friendship and contributions, this belief has only grown stronger. A few months ago we received a call from Josh. Josh works for Vivienne Court Trading a trading co...mpany that operates a little differently, electing to donate profits to charities of their staffs choosing. Luckily for us, Josh lives locally and had heard about Inala and the work we do and made not one, but two incredibly generous donations through his work at VivCourt. We want to give a huge thank you to Josh and VivCourt for their amazing work and their support of Inala. We are thrilled to have you as part of the Inala Community!
10.01.2022 A wonderful reunion today! James got to catch up with his twin brother Jeremy today after weeks spent apart. What better way to spend it than some lunch in the park on a sunshine filled day!

09.01.2022 We were absolutely blown away by the response to our Tax Appeal this year. Combined with the generosity from the Marshall Family to match donations, together we have raised an Inala record breaking total of $425,000! Thanks to the incredible support of our wonderful community we are thrilled to announce that we have now raised over $3 million through our Accommodation Appeal. 08.01.2022 Community is at the heart of all we do - and as a community it is our job to look out for one another. 2020 has been a challenging year for everyone, and it has never been more important to stay connected and support each other. Today is R U OK Day - a reminder that everyday is a good day to check in with someone to see how they are doing. Check out the link below so you know what to say after "R U OK?"
07.01.2022 Martellis Cherrybrook and Georges Fine Meats Cherrybrook have been long time friends and supporters of Inala, but this past week they have truly gone above and beyond to help the Inala Community. Maria and Therese from Martellis along with Wayne and Raymond from Georges Fine Meats have been incredibly accommodating and supportive, delivering fresh produce and meat to Inala to help us minimise the risk from having staff and residents shop in person. Thank you, on behalf of everyone at Inala, for keeping our homes stocked with the best produce and meat in town!

03.01.2022 As restrictions start to ease, we have begun implementing our carefully planned transition so that we may slowly start to get back to some resemblance of normal life. Check out our blog update "Inalas Roadmap" which explains how we are navigating through this to ensure a phased and carefully managed transition back to normal services. https://inala.org.au/news/inalas-roadmap/
