15.01.2022 This month a good friend lost his battle with depression, and our hearts are broken. In memory of this beautiful human, friends and family have been donating to @beyondblueofficial who do amazing work. Suicide is the leading cause of death for Australians aged between 15 and 44. Such a scary and heartbreaking statistic. If you’d like to help you can head over to Beyond Blue’s website and make a donation to support their suicide prevention efforts. 1 in 6 Australians are curre...ntly suffering from depression or anxiety, or both. Mental health should be discussed as easily and openly as physical health is. People should feel comfortable discussing it with peers and employers, and seeking help from their GP or organisations like Beyond Blue or @lifelineaustralia when they feel like something isn’t quite right. It’s hard to know what to say when you are suffering, or when you feel like someone you care about is suffering, but starting the conversation is so important and there is information about that on the @beyondblueofficial website. Toohey was such a light and will always be remembered for his caring, attentive, nonjudgmental and larger than life personality.
