23.01.2022 MOLSLINJEN is on track to move to its new ferry terminal at Østhavnen in #Aarhus. The 109 metre fast ferry Express 3 is seen trying out the new berth for the first time last week! Testing of the ramps and the passenger landing went well, with both ramps and gangways making a perfect fit! The new facility will offer passengers fast access to the E45 highway and with better access and exit roads too. Traffic is moved away from city centre congestion and onto larger roads with ...better infrastructure. Importantly, MOLSLINJEN's ferries can receive shore power in the new ferry terminal which means that fuel-powered generators do not have to be used to produce electricity when the ships are in port. Congratulations MOLSLINJEN, we look forward to seeing your new terminal in full operation! #FerryTravel #HighSpeedFerry #INCAT #australianmanufacturing #FerryRide #FerrySafe #ferries #aarhus #odden #ebeltoft #Kattegat #tasmania #ferry

Delivered to Buquebus in 2013 for service between Buenos Aires and Montevideo she is also the first high speed craft built under the HSC code to be powered by Gas Turbines using LNG as the primary fuel and marine distillate for standby and ancillary use. #fastferries #dualfuel #catamaran #highspeedcraft #riverplate #riodelplata #buenosaires #montevideo #ferrytechnology #firstLNGfastferry

11.01.2022 MOLSLINJEN is the first ferry company in Denmark to be certified with "SafeGuard" from Classification Society Bureau Veritas Group . "SafeGuard" is one of the tools that Bureau Veritas (BV) has developed to help companies get back on track safely and securely after the COVID-19 outbreak. With this certificate, Molslinjen documents that a reliable, independent third party has reviewed the company's 15 ferries in relation to compliance with the Danish Maritime Authority's, Mols...linjen's, International Maritime Organization - IMO and BV's guidelines for health, safety and hygiene. All ferries on Molslinjen's routes have been certified including the fast ferries on the #Kattegat and Bornholmslinjen services. #fastferries #highspeedferry #ferrysafe #ferrytravel #incat #tasmania #australianmanufacturing #fastferry

10.01.2022 Our friends at Virtu Ferries Ltd. have it right! The weekend is almost here and doesn't Saint John Paul II look magnificent under Malta's blue skies?! At 1,000 dwt, the 110 metre craft is the largest high speed RoPax catamaran ever built for operation in the Mediterranean. The ship is powered by 4 x 20V MTU 8000 M71L engines, each rated at 9100kW. Gearboxes are by ZF Group and the LJX 1500SR waterjets by Wärtsilä Corporation. Ensuring maximum comfort for her passengers, Saint John Paul II is equipped with a Naiad active ride control system combining active trim tabs aft and two hull mounted T-foils. #MTU #INCAT #virtuferries #fastferry #malta #sicily #FerrySafe #catamarans #australianmanufacturing #waterjets #tasmania #naiad
10.01.2022 We make no apology for sharing more of 91 metre Skane Jet in her new colours; we're as excited as FRS Baltic to see this new route in the FRS - Fast Reliable Seaways network. Did you know that as Cat-Link V, during her July 1998 Hales Trophy transatlantic crossing, she achieved a new record average speed of 41.025 knots? Even more impressive, this was despite a delay of more than two hours when she took part in a search and rescue operation. Cat-Link V and other vessels in t...he area received a call from the rescue coordination center in Halifax, Canada, to search for a single-engine aircraft, which had sent out a May-Day signal during a westward cross-Atlantic flight. Cat-Link V turned around and went back against her course. Wreckage was found, which was taken on board. Cat-Link V arrived at Southampton flying a 30 metre long Blue Riband! During the #Atlantic crossing, Cat-Link V also set another world record, covering 1,018.2 nautical miles in 24 hours! 10.01.2022 Looking after the cargo! Baleària Caribbean's 81m Incat Tasmania Jaume II. Connecting Fort Lauderdale, #Florida, and #Freeport, Grand Bahama Island, #Bahamas, Jaume II remained a vital link in accommodating #cargo on pallets, in multiple bin sizes, as well as the possibility of shipping vehicles. An #incat 81 metre #catamaran, Jaume II was built in 1996 as Condor 12 for Condor Ferries Channel Island services. In 1997 she was renamed Holyman Rapide and operated on the Engli...sh Channel eventually transferred to Sea Containers' English Channel (Hoverspeed) and Irish Sea (Isle of Man Steam Packet Company) routes as #Rapide. Sold to Baleària in June 2006 Jaume II was extensively refitted in 2016 in a project that included the installation of four new main engines. #HighSpeedFerry #INCAT #caribbean #fastferry #FastFerries #seacontainers #englishchannel #jaumeii
