24.01.2022 I love that through Instagram we have a time capsule of what Inchmeal has lived through, achieved and accomplished this year. Here’s a snapshot... Hosted our last craft workshops before iso hit Easter, business as (un)usual Introduced staples like milk, eggs, sourdough and bagels for purchase because remember how it was a bit nerve racking going to the shops?... Remember the Mother’s Day sweet treats boxes? Had a little break from lockdown so we squeezed in a couple more craft workshops We went camping!!! I finished my pom pom cushion. 09.01.2022 NEW! Made in Peru alpaca blend throw blankets arriving soon to Inchmeal. DM to call dibs on any of these in the video! $150 each. Alpaca has been used since the ancient times to keep Peruvians warm in the high Andes mountains of Peru. The Incas first bred alpacas for their wool around 5000 BC. The wool was used to make clothes for royals and was known as 'the fibre of the gods'. Our throw blankets are made by a local family in the mountains. The family splits up into 3 produc...tion lines, each of which moves the blankets through various stages in the dying process. Instead of the usual 3 stages of dying and weaving, this particular family’s unique method incorporates a total of 7 different stages including hand finishing each piece. Each colour combination and pattern is unique and made in small batches hence the limited quantities. Alpaca is said to be 4 times warmer than wool. It is extremely durable, soft to touch and lightweight. Alpaca wool is sustainable, eco-friendly and hypoallergenic (allergy free). Keeping alpacas is sustainable since they live in the wild in their natural habitat. Weaving alpaca wool is a traditional craft which follows fair-trade guidelines. These traditional designs with a full spectrum of vibrant forever changing colour schemes will make your home a little brighter and a lot warmer. They can be used however you wish - sofa throw, blanket on the bed, or worn on your body as a shawl or scarf. They are a great welcome gift and are light enough to be taken on your travels. From the Peruvian Andes, our super soft and snug alpaca blend blankets/throws/shawls/scarves are destined to be a long term love affair. Varying in colour, these blankets capture the cultural designs and vibrancy of Peru's mountain inhabitants. They are not only great to use but make a great decorative accessory for any room. Size: W: 140cm x L: 200cm Material: 30% Alpaca, 70% Acrylic Washing instructions: Hand wash. Dry clean. Machine wash cold on wool cycle, lay flat to dry. Very limited stock available!

09.01.2022 A little over a year ago, we bought a van to convert into a camper. Who knew that in 2020, it’d be the project that kept us busy (and sane) during Iso. We’re almost finished with the conversion and as soon as we can travel out of our 5km bubble, we’re taking Hulkampberg outta here I can’t wait to ‘move in’ and decorate. I have a growing Hulkamberg pile, mostly Hulk things, kitchen utensils and some cute handmade decor from different makers (mostly from Inchmeal).
