14.01.2022 Only a couple of Aussie blokes could have come up with this one Back in 2011, when the iPhone 4 was hot off the press, two homegrown guys designed an iPhone case that doubled up as a bottle opener. Using Kickstarter to raise funds, they raised $28,303 smashing their $15,000 target convincingly. Whilst there was clearly a thirsty enthusiasm for the multi-tasking case, their website is no longer active and their twitter feed has been quiet since 2015.... 11.01.2022 Urgent Product Recall - AFL Grand Final Promotional wristbands The LED wristbands that were distributed at the 2020 Grand Final in Brisbane on Saturday have been subject to an urgent product recall after a safety hazard was identified by Product Safety Australia. The battery compartment of the wristband is not adequately secured and the button batteries in the product are easily accessible explained the Product Safety Australia website. If young children gain access to the... button batteries and ingest them, they may suffer internal burn injuries, which can result in serious illness and even death. In addition, the batteries may pose a choking hazard to young children. This weekend’s recall is a timely reminder of the potential danger of a product that is found in all manner of items, from bathroom scales and toys, to remote controls and hearing aids. Whilst regulation guidelines around button batteries have not yet been finalised, the ACCC launched its ‘Tiny batteries, Big Danger’ safety campaign at the start of the week to raise awareness of the serious risks associated with them. 08.01.2022 Guess who just decided to cash in on their 15 minutes of fame? That’s right - Four Seasons Total Landscaping. The unlikely venue for the much mocked Trump campaign press conference has just dropped a new range of promotional merch. With a patriotic nod to their new found fame the range includes a hoodie and two T-shirts in a red/white/blue colour scheme and with an American flag above the company name. ... Whilst it was initially assumed that the campaign had meant to book the upmarket Four Seasons Hotel, it seems the venue was booked on purpose due to its proximity to the I-95 ramp and gated parking lot. But, between the name of the venue and it’s position - next to an adult book store and across the road from a crematorium - it ended up being a fitting farewell for the end of Trump's presidency.
