24.01.2022 Col is pictured here with his digger mate, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), who once described him as a very slender, frail looking fellow of very serious demeanour.
23.01.2022 As Col and his comrades were being issued with diving gear they noticed a heap of small blue parcels on the shelves referred to as shark repellent. When they questioned why they were not being issued with such a vital piece of diving safety equipment a wise old SAS corporal replied, You wouldn't want to use this, mate, it's like putting tomato sauce on a meat pie! - Col is pictured here during Special Forces training in Gibraltar Harbour.
20.01.2022 Col recently returned from a 900km bike ride and book tour around Tasmania in which he visited his hometown of Zeehan and shared in many proud moments. Here he is pictured after a presentation at Legacy House with Hobart Legacy, during a radio interview with Historian Reg Watson and at a medal presentation to Dale McCulloch, son of James Bruce McCulloch MM who was awarded 3 military medals in WWI.

07.01.2022 Thanks to Reg Watson for his review in the Hobart Legacy Bulletin. Below is a preview, a picture of Col's family and the Central Zeehan Hotel. You can read the full review at https://goo.gl/pxFnTA 'The book is the personal narrative of Tasmanian born, Col Sketchy Moyle who hailed from the west coast...Col begins his journey with his early life at Zeehan...he had a fortunate and unique upbringing where his parents owned a successful pub. Inspired by his grandfather, Jam...es Bruce McCulloch, a decorated World War One soldier, he joined the army when 19 years old...His time in Vietnam will be fascinating to the reader, but when other biographies on one’s army life can end at this point, Col moves on to his life as a SAS soldier. At this junction the book recounts his life growing up as a Quaker and attending the Quaker Boarding school, called Friends in Hobart. It is a powerful book, written in an easy reading style. A book that reveals life in the military of not so long ago.' See more
06.01.2022 When training as a infanteer we were taught that there was nothing more important than your rifle. To lose or mistreat your rifle was a crime Col is pictured here with Pte Mulligan, a fellow Tasmanian.
03.01.2022 Gift a good read this Christmas Indebted is not your usual military autobiography. It's a story of determination, courage and perseverance in the face of extreme physical and psychological stress, but is not without amusement and a hearty chuckle or two. I loved this book. It is pithy and pungent, always insightful, often hilarious General Sir Peter Cosgrove, AK, MC (Retd) Order by 15 December for delivery before Christmas*
