25.01.2022 Yes, I have a vested interest (I did the artwork ), but seriously, volunteering is an awesome habit to get into. And you can start early! This school holiday program is for kids 13-17. There are several volunteering opportunities around Perth. A great way to give back, and establish/enhance community mindedness.

25.01.2022 The art and beauty...

24.01.2022 Just wow. Not just the physics of creating such a sculpture, but the metaphysical meaning. JUST. WOW.

23.01.2022 Thought for the day. Never underestimate the power of the imagination.

22.01.2022 It's hard not to smile when saying the word 'felicity'...

21.01.2022 Aren't there times when we wish we possessed a little more eloquence?! I know I am at my MOST eloquent when revisiting conversations I had, or should have had!

20.01.2022 Some impromptu product labelling! This beautiful product not only has the most divine (read subtly sexy-as!) scent but is silky smooth on the face and beard - all natural, artisan-made in Aus. Whats not to love! Herb Circle, Kalamunda...

20.01.2022 This is one of my personal faves - "optimistic or positive, especially in an apparently bad or difficult situation." When have you had the need to be particularly sanguine?

19.01.2022 THOSE COLOURS! They do just pop! In case you werent aware... we also design and print the basics - you know, the card you give someone as your first impression! Thank you Hummingbirds for allowing me to be a part of your business! ... Your imprint is our business. #makeitindelible www.indelible-imprint.com.au

18.01.2022 Ok, so it is a 2018 story, but still fascinating. A long-forgotten experiment on the other side of the planet. Just...wow...

18.01.2022 Talent - and limitless patience

17.01.2022 Every project is satisfying. Some have just a little more value-add to them, making the extra effort worthwhile! This is a workbook for late-teen Down syndrome kids as part of a course to help prep them for entry into the workforce. Its set out in a format called easy-read for maximum comprehension - and you all know how much I love having white space! Very proud to be associated with DSWA and the fantastic work the organisation does. ... And a SPECIAL shout out to my fave printer person who seriously helped me out of a terrible time crunch! Thank you, from the bottom of my heart!

17.01.2022 Wow - a few things I did not know about one of favourite authors of all time Curiouser and Curiouser - Lewiss Carroll https://mymodernmet.com/lewis-carroll-facts/... Courtesy of My Modern Met.

17.01.2022 Just love the diversity in the work I am privileged to be able to do for my clients! Bet you didn't know I do the signboard artwork (amongst other things!) for this wonderful group of Perth real estate agents (This Haven in Hamilton Hill is fresh to the market - https://www.hummingbirdswa.com.au/20-hillier-crescent-hamil )

16.01.2022 I do love a compliment first thing in the morning! So I sent a first draft late yesterday to a client whose brief was, let's say, thin... I had a little brainwave and ran with it, then crossed my fingers and pressed send. And this was my email message this morning: "I love it! You are perfectly crazy in just the right proportions!" I'll take that

15.01.2022 the beauty of language...

14.01.2022 To be human. To connect. It's precious and we should be grateful every time it happens, appreciating the synchronicity within our existence - even if it spans great distances, languages or even centuries.

14.01.2022 Client sends a (really) short email asking for a brochure for 'early bird' discounts and an Excel document full of numbers that mean nothing to me (you know I'm not big on numbers, right?). This is the result - even I'm a little impressed - and the client thinks it's a bit special too! Winning!

13.01.2022 Stage 2 of new presentation folders for DSWA. Sure beats a plain old white cover . I believe these carry the message of welcome to new volunteers and staff very nicely! Thank you Down Syndrome Western Australia for the opportunity!

12.01.2022 Check this! Innovation for a REASON! Fantastic...

11.01.2022 Close your eyes. See and feel the meaning of the word. How gloriously restful.

11.01.2022 I just couldn't resist the visual cadence of this word, the form of the lettering - and then its meaning. May we all embody a little more "piliriqatigiinniq" in our lives! xx

11.01.2022 Any ideas on how to pronounce this divine word - no Googling!!

10.01.2022 Finality and resolution. It can be so satisfying (or not), but is absolutely necessary in all aspects of our life and lived experiences. What a beautiful word this is.

10.01.2022 There is actually a word for this feeling! And here, I thought I was an orphan when I have these 'insightful' thoughts :)

10.01.2022 When your client allows you to create a presentation folder that is so much more than a mere holder of documents. Speak your vision. Show your value. (I am over the moon with these beauties...) Thank you DSWA for letting me do these for you.

10.01.2022 I'm just going to leave this here. (sigh) We fight 'the natural order' every day in one way or another - some days, perhaps we need to be more accepting that it IS the natural cycle, after all. Our sanity may be improved a little!

09.01.2022 Something we could all do a little more of, with authenticity of course!

07.01.2022 Just love seeing my label designs on great quality all-natural products! Bliss balm will be available from 21 July at Herb Circle, Kalamunda. MUST. HAVE.

06.01.2022 You know the inexplicable light dance that goes on when you rub your eyes? Well, there's a word for that. You're welcome!

06.01.2022 11.11.2020 We will remember them.

06.01.2022 Fascinating read - a friend has established a successful business, Travel Me Bags, using washable paper - check out their beautiful range of totes, backpacks and clutches at https://travelmebags.com/

06.01.2022 Im sure my darling client wont mind this sneak peek! The lovely labels for an AWE-SOME product just arrived. Love, love, love em! New product being launched next week at Herb Circle, Kalamunda - especially for our beardy-boys! (And wouldnt you know it, just in time for Fathers Day!) Your imprint is our business.... #makeitindelible

05.01.2022 When there's already a lot of visual material in the vicinity, the KISS principle is best! (See surrounding area in pic in comments )

04.01.2022 So much beauty in just one word.

03.01.2022 Don't we just love this kind of joy!

02.01.2022 Words! The English language is overflowing with 'filler' words. I'm interested in words with MEANING. Words that evoke strong imagery. Fascinating words. Words that bring their subject to life. At 3am this morning I was being amazed by the full moon, waif-like clouds scudding across the sky only slightly dimming its brilliance. My early morning musings turned to the word 'scudding' that had come into my (somewhat overactive) mind. 'Onomatopoeia' is the process of creating ...a word that phonetically imitates, resembles, or suggests the sound that it describes. To me, 'scudding' is a slightly unconventional example of those words - you can almost 'hear' something intermittently touching down/bottoming out on a surface as it races past on its journey. What are some of your favourite words? Words that resonate. Words that are so spectacularly apt for a situation. I am interested to know

01.01.2022 Just because we all need a little brightening up, sometimes! Enjoy.

01.01.2022 Aww, shucks. Retouching a couple of agricultural images (literally) to remove debris and make the client's product more outstanding and I receive this lovely response. I'm blushing. I do think people underestimate what it means to others (and I have to say, especially to creatives!) to give feedback, positive or otherwise. I know I certainly appreciate it, more than my clients would ever know.
