09.01.2022 We’re working to find suitable sand for upcoming beach renourishments on the Bellarine Peninsula Sampling of sand from the sea floor will take place in waters... off Indented Head and St Leonards over the coming weeks. Sampling equipment, mounted on barges, will determine the suitability and availability of oceanic sand. Remote-controlled vessels and drones will survey the area for sites of ecological importance. This will support work being done by coastal engineers to develop plans for four beach renourishments at Indented Head, St Leonards and St Leonards North. The designs will incorporate feedback received during community consultation on the preferred locations and methods of the renourishment works. For details of the Bellarine beach renourishments, visit: www.marineandcoasts.vic.gov.au/coa/bellarine-renourishments Bellarine Bayside

02.01.2022 Dear Members The health and safety of all Indented Head Boat Club members and their families is paramount. As a club, we have discussed our response to this COVID19 outbreak, taking into consideration the advice with other community organisations, along with the widely published recommendations from the Government and World Health Organisation. Following the government’s stance on the COVID19 over the past 48 hours the increasing risk of spreading this disease/virus increasin...g, the Indented Head Boat Club Committee has agreed that all future events and Friday night Social Events will be cancelled for the remainder of the 2020 season. This includes with much regret the Children’s Fishing Day this weekend and the Season Wrap Up Party on Easter Saturday. While we don’t like cancelling events and social functions the committee believes that as this is a social pass time, we don’t need to put members and their families at risk. As this event is changing daily, we would ask our members to be safe and follow the government recommendations and protocols outlined here www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/coronavirus If you have any concerns, please contact myself on below details. Thanks again for your understanding and remember to be safe and respectful to others. Regards, Brett Archer President Indented Head Boat Club 0417309726 www.ihbc.com.au
