25.01.2022 From small things, big things grow. And we’re not just talking about trees. That’s how Independent Tree Services started too. What started as Managing Director Trent Hughes with a truck, tools and a cherry-picker full of ambition has grown to a company that employs twenty-five on-ground staff and two office staff. From our Narangba base we are pleased to have a team of professionals on site who hold a mixture of diplomas in Arboriculture, Certificate 3 and 4 in Arboriculture ...while also fostering the next generation of arborists who are completing their training. It’s the powerful combination of an expert team on site as well as one off site, that ensures a competent, clear and concise service for all clients. Here is a message we received (in part) from a wonderful client who wanted to show his appreciation... .."Again, what a great job completed by Tristan and his crew. I have attached a photo of the bench that he fashioned for us and the result is outstanding. He is a true artist. We shall keep recommending your services to all and sundry. 16.01.2022 When you have up to ten crews operating between the Gold Coast and Gympie (and sometimes further) you need a strong management team. Our Managing Director, Trent (pictured below right) and the Operations Manager, Rob (below left) bring nearly 40 years of experience between them. They ensure that all activities run like a well-oiled machine. Plus they are great family men and all-round nice guys!

13.01.2022 TREE VS VEHICLE...guess who comes out a winner? Hint: it's not the vehicle. Heavy rains and strong winds can cause the root system of a tree to become unstable. If a tree on your property is showing signs of instability, you can always call us for an obligation-free quote. We'd love to help! :D

12.01.2022 Meet Rob, our Operations Manager (2IC). He’s responsible for managing 6-10 teams from the Gold Coast to Gympie each day and takes care of training new staff to ensure they are up to ITS standard. On top of this, he’s an all-round nice guy!

11.01.2022 Have you heard about the Kumbartcho Sanctuary? It's a great place with an interesting story. The land was saved from residential development by residents raising a petition which resulted in the old Pine Rivers Shire (now Moreton Bay Regional Council) taking ownership of the site. It is now a sanctuary, nursery and conference centre, It also has a playground and BBQ area. Located on the South Pine River, it's a great place to visit! .... http://www.kumbartcho.org.au/ See more

09.01.2022 Here’s an idea for the school holidays: take the kids to search for the Gollum Tree in Scarborough. This Norfolk pine is intriguing. Why? Because the Gollum door appeared mysteriously one day in 2013 and nobody knows how. There is also a spy-hole at the base of the door where kids can peer through to see a lit-up figure of Gollum himself. And exactly where is this magical tree? The fun is in the search, so I’m not going to tell you. All I’ll say is it is in a park in Scarboro...ugh, close to the Bay. 03.01.2022 Meet Trent, our Managing Director. His experience spans more than 18 years in the arboriculture industry but his positive attitude extends much further. Trent is responsible for leadership, compliance, supervision of staff and delivery of projects on time and budget. When he’s not at work, you’ll find him teaching his three daughters to ride dirt bikes because that’s what good dads do.

03.01.2022 Tall trees? Not a problem at ITS! We have four elevated work platforms ready for the high jobs. In fact, we have all the great gear for any job; big or small, high or low, complex or easy. Not only that, we are fully insured and comply with all relevant WH&S, Environment and Quality standards and acts. In fact, ITS is the bees-knees of tree-maintenance companies! :D
