13.01.2022 It's the late 1940's and Lincoln practices what they preach. Flashback Friday shows our factory using sub arc welding, we have an armature shaft and the exciter... stub shaft ‘coming together’. The two shafts are set up in a purpose built rotator, the flux is ‘suspended’ around the weld in the cone shaped structure and the Sub Arc Welding is carried out on the joint. Note the vacuum cleaner (left hand side) to suck up and recycle the unused flux. Nothing is wasted. See more
