22.01.2022 That time Jayden Smith had to stop performing because the Zhivago crowd were too outta control......

17.01.2022 Stephen Knight, CFO of Creative Productions, on Seven News last night.

05.01.2022 From the last show I did... Tour Crew: Tour Manager Production Manager... Tour Accountant Production Coordinator Security Director 3 Venue/ Artist Security Stage Manager Asst Stage Manager Rigger 1 Rigger 2 Carpenter 1 Carpenter 2 Lighting Director Programmer 4 x Lighting Techs Front of House Audio Engineer FOH Systems Tech Monitor Engineer Mon System Tech Stage Audio Tech PA Tech x 3 Video Director Programmer Video Tech / Camera Ops x 3 Dressing Room/ Artist Support Team x 3 Backline Techs x 5 Merchandise Seller Truck Drivers x 12 Bus Drivers x 8 Local Promoter Rep Steward 16 Up Riggers 8 Down Riggers 58 Stagehands 12 Truck Loaders 3 Fork lifts 2 Electricians 8 Caterers and Hospitality 60+ Security 50+ Ushers 24 Change over / Chair Crew 30 Custodial workers 8 box office employees 20 merch people Runners x4 Thats 350 People 350 people with no job today.... Now take that local number and multiply it by 30 as that is how many shows are in a typical tour... Thats 10,500 people with no job today Now imagine all the shows out there... All the concerts, all the family shows, all the plays, all the musicals, all the festivals... And so on.. and multiply That is a whole lot of people with out a job today But wait! Theres more!!!!... as this doesnt include the Artists, the marketing teams, the promoters, the concessionaires, the travel agents, the hotel staff that host the crew and band, the limo drivers, the pilots and flight crews, the agents, the managers, the business managers and the label folks that help support a tour from afar Now for the dirty real truth... 1. There arent going to be shows for a long time... and 2. Many venues will not survive this. Many of the support businesses will not survive either. It is not out of the question that a good number of the above people will NEVER get their job back as in ITS ALREADY GONE. The industry that has been so good to me over the years, and has provided a way of life for me , my family and so many of my dearest friends is experiencing catastrophic losses. It is currently for the most part non existent. There is no fix. No solution. Drive in shows, and "socially distant" shows just dont generate the income needed to do a successful tour. Many great minds are working hard at it every single day. Yet, no answer at this time. Music is my life. I just want you all to be aware because everytime there was a disaster that left people in need it was my industry that came in to find a way to raise money. My industry that divised ways to build quick modular camps (from our festival experience) to house people who lost their homes. My industry that revolutionized tempory plumbing and sanitary systems for towns that lost their water. My industry that created efficient and powerful mobile power. My industry that moved pallets and pallets of food and medical supplies via our freight lines for those in need at earthquake sites, and hurricanes... And yes it was my industry that helped develop quick efficient pop up Covid test sites. However, no one is doing jack shit for my industry in our time of need. Just a few shows gone... A minor inconvenience. We will have to find a way to do without entertainment for a bit. Oh well... Theres always TV or YouTube.... We are all in this together you know SCREW THAT! Is that selfish of me to say? Sure! Maybe it is... But its true none the less. Im not sure anyone wants to be in this together with us entertainment industry folks. And who can blame you!!! Our situation sucks... But please. give a shit because right now... i sort of get the vibe most of you dont No one wants to be unsafe. Most of us arent interested in doing shows until its a bonafide safe place for folks to go and have fun and enjoy live entertainment for the experience it is... and because of that we have sacrificed EVERYTHING. Let me say that again... and because of that we have sacrificed EVERYTHING. It makes me pretty proud of my community though. We will persevere some how some way ... If you can, please find a way to support the folks who are really hurting right now. Reach out to your local clubs and promoters. Buy a gift certificate, make a donation, buy an album- not just a stream. if music or plays or dance or anything related to the stage has brought you light in your life, see if you can give a little of that light back in these very dark times
