21.01.2022 Wishing you all a happy New Year. May it be everything you hope it to be and more

17.01.2022 Over the weekend I made my own Hommus/Hummus and it tastes soo good. The part I love the most, not only how quick it is to make, how much cheaper it is - BUT - I know what’s in it There’s no additives, added sugar, preservatives, zilch. ... Have you made your own before? It gives me more incentive to keep making my own foods See more

08.01.2022 Even if you are not a Celiac, the benefits of going Gluten Free are huge. When wheat came on the scene, it was completely foreign. The body had to adapt in order to tolerate it, and lots of people don’t tolerate it well. We only have one stomach, to digest wheat properly, we would need at least four stomachs like a cow. When we eat wheat, it produces a protein called zonulin. For some people, they produce too much of this and it causes the intestinal walls to open too w...ide, leaking all kinds of stuff into the bloodstream, mostly toxic. This is where a lot of health issues start to show. * Fatigue * Gas/Bloating/Constipation/Vomiting/ Heartburn * Headaches * Weight gain or loss * Infertility * Joint, bone or muscle pain * Depression * Respiratory problems. * Skin rashes By eliminating gluten, you could improve so many different conditions. Food is supposed to give you energy and make you feel good, not make you hurt. When you eat something your body doesn’t like, it lets you know. It doesn’t mean you have to eliminate gluten altogether (unless you are diagnosed) but it may be something you could try and cut down on. Do your own form of trial and error. Cut back on a few food items you know give you discomfort for two weeks and see what happens. I know you will be surprised See more

07.01.2022 You’ve just polished off a delicious meal with your mates and you are all sitting there talking about the events of the day. As the time goes on and you get ready to pay for your meal and part ways, you suddenly realise how tired you are. You put it down to the fact that it is night time, you’ve just had a big meal, you’re ready to hit the hay. This tiredness though quickly goes from a few yawns to extreme yawning. You are hitting a wall fast. And then comes that feeling of... nausea. You suddenly realise that you have been glutened. The clock is on. You have minutes to get home before everyone around you becomes witness to what’s about to happen. You make it home just in time and that’s you for the next few hours. Having a gluten attack looks different for everyone. Some experience mild symptoms, others extreme. These can look like: * Fatigue * Nausea * Pains * Bloating * Vomiting * Diarrhoea * Rashes No matter the scale, a gluten attack is dreaded. And it can take days to recover. The fatigue lasts. Your stomach feels like it’s been punched, bruised and sore. Not to mention all the damage you’ve just done to your insides. Your intestines and all that lovely villi you’ve been trying soo hard to repair. Unfortunately, gluten attacks are likely to happen from time to time (let’s hope very sparingly) the key is to create a beautiful environment on the inside. Nourish your inner garden with beautiful, real food so when an attack comes to town, hopefully the timeline of your attack is shorter and your recovery period quicker. See more
