24.01.2022 Love sharing people's case studies about regenerative agriculture.
23.01.2022 You can't build nutrient dense food when you practise conventional chemical production techniques, because in the process you strip the ecological systems that are at play.
21.01.2022 This is a valid argument. I farmed in Mildura. Chemical spraying throughout Spring to Autumn was 24/7. Farms are concentrated and you are surrounded by many oth...er farms. If you weren't spraying then one of your neighbours was. Most farms would be often spraying a mixture of chemicals. Now we lived outside of Mildura centre. So our drinking water was rain water. Most of the rain in Mildura falls in winter. So over summer the roofs would collected a cocktail of spray drift that would accumulate and dry on the roofs waiting for the winter rain to wash it into the drinking water. I was totally ignorant at the time, until my late wife developed terminal cancer. Talk about a paradigm shift to the way I farmed after. See more

15.01.2022 7000 PAGE LIKES! Welcome to all our new followers! Did you know... FCA is farmer-led and strictly non-partisan. We do not endorse any political party. ... We recognise the important role farmers play as land custodians for approximately 50% of Australia, and are committed to supporting our fellow farmers to take action on climate change. We welcome healthy, respectful discussion on climate, ag and energy. Personal attacks or libellous / slanderous comments on elected representatives, public figures, organisations, companies, or other users are unacceptable. THANKS AGAIN for standing up for climate action with us! *Ad transcript "We've been farming out here for a long time. That connection to our land is in our blood. So when things change around here we notice it. We're all seeing the changing weather. We're already dealing with the risks. And while we have generations of experience as to how to manage extremes... this is different. Climate change isn't just a problem for our kids. We're a practical nation and we're smart enough to get on with the solutions. Business as usual is no longer an option. We want future generations to have the choice to farm like we did. We just have to look up, speak up, and politicians need to keep up. Standing up for rural Australia means standing up for action on climate change. Our future's in our hands."
09.01.2022 What do atom bombs and fungi have to do with soil organic matter? https://phys.org//2013-03-fungi-responsible-carbon-sequest
08.01.2022 Great initiative.
07.01.2022 Wow! The incredible world of fungi.

03.01.2022 2:20 WATCH: Depending on management practices, the same soil series can function VERY differently. A South Dakota study recently set out to measure this affect ...and returned with some eye-popping numbers! >>> Management practices from one side of the fence to the other resulted in a difference of 45 tons of organic matter as well as 150,000 gallons of water holding capacity! <<< With numbers like these, we can't ignore the role we play when it comes to the quality and sustainability of our land. 01.01.2022 >> WOW! << The difference between conventionally tilled and no-tilled soils often gets convoluted. But not when it comes to this experiment!
01.01.2022 Trees are the pumps of the water cycle, bringing water up from the ground to help clouds form in the skies above. Without trees, there's no rain. We need to protect these rainmakers for our future. Can you help? #SaveKoalas
