25.01.2022 Just an update on this page. I wanted to inform anyone that follows my page, that I will be only closing this page shortly. I am stepping back and going back into Real Estate.... Real Estate was something I did back in my 20's and 30's and because of family commitments, life and also working for myself at the time, I never thought it was possible. I felt it was the right time now to go back into the industry and what an exciting time too. With COVID and everything that has happened in the past 12 months, it gave me clarity what I want to do moving forward. Have a great weekend. Cheers Barb
23.01.2022 Big announcement ******I am going back into the Real Estate Industry****** Currently I am studying for my full Real Estate Licence, I am a registered Salesperson at present. I will be joining one of the big brand franchises in Bundaberg after Easter.... I won't say what company it is yet....but look forward to working with a team of agents who don't have the ego's that many agencies do. In relation to my own businesses as a VA/Virtual Business Development Manager, that hasn't changed. I may take 2 jobs on a month and am still taking bookings each month, so if you do want to book in during the year, you still can, I will just pick and choose the kind of jobs I do. I will also still be working on my courses throughout the year. My main focus will be Real Estate!!!!!!!!! You ask me why am I going back.?????? The main reason is, I love real estate, it's what I love. I know the pitfalls, I know how tough the industry is. I started my career in Real Estate when I was in my late 20's in Sydney, followed by working again in the industry in my 30's when I moved to the Gold Coast and was trained by some of the big names on the Gold Coast and Brisbane. Now approaching my late 40's into my 50's, it's time.... Plus, over the years operating my own business, the majority of my clients have been R/E agents. So from calling vendors, organising appraisals, social media, blogs, content, marketing, entering data into CRM's, sending out mailouts, sales, etc, etc, etc, I've worked for both listing and buyer agents over the years......... it was about time, that I got back onto the horse and work for myself again. Though this time around, I'm getting my Full Licence to give me more scope and opportunity and looking forward to helping people move up to our beautiful area we call Bundaberg. Now...if you are local, or if you are an agent from another area, please touch base. I will be offering a referral for any exclusive listing of $500.00 on settlement, for any referrals. If you are in the Real Estate Industry and would like to do some cross promotion to help each other, happy to discuss further, or if you are looking to sell or buy in Bundaberg, you know who to call now.... Can't wait to start this next chapter!!!! In regards to The Independent VA, this site will close later in the year. I am still putting together online courses and doing a few odd VA jobs here and there where people may need help with blogs, design, but ultimately my focus moving forward is Real Estate and there are a few other things still under wraps which I will let you know in due course.
18.01.2022 Hey everyone A few people have asked me when I'm back to work, I don't officially go back until Monday 1st February 2021. Over January I have been studying and just kicking back and relaxing.... I'm also getting content and material together and learning all about Convertkit, email marketing, Teachable and everything else in between. I would love to know if anyone that is reading this post, if you are interested in learning either... Cold Calling and Business Development and how to apply this learnings and techniques to your business or your someone that wants to become a Virtual Assistant and start their own VA business in 2021. The reason I ask is, I'm on the fence which one to market and launch first. Comment below if either of these are something you might be interested in learning in 2021... If you need me for any work though, February is booked, I can fit some social media stuff in, otherwise taking bookings now for March and that month too, is filling up fast. Cheers

04.01.2022 Hey everyone This page will be still available, but not active too much longer. Also the same applies to my website. ... There are a few changes to what I am doing in my businesses. Firstly I am working on Business Development Courses to sell online which will be launched this year. Even though I am still working as a Virtual Assistant myself and still doing work for businesses ie blogs, content writing, design work, it is probably now only 10% of my workload because purely my focus has moved from Virtual Assistant work to more along the lines of Business Development, ie Cold Calling, Lead Generation, Sales, Outbound Calls, which is 90% of work I do for businesses. I will still have my VA website www.bbmc-va.com.au always up to date and will always take on any work that may come my way, but my focus primarily is Business Development & Sales. Also I have been provided some other opportunities for other work, which I have done many years ago and need to get back into the hot seat and do what I know and love - without giving too much away. I will however do a post where you will find me shortly, but I have loved working as a Virtual Assistant, it is what I know. I was going to do online courses, I have mentored many Virtual Assistants in the past, but to be perfectly honest, there is so many online Virtual Assistants selling courses, selling books, that it's become quite crowded. With Business Development/Sales, it is quite niched and that is where my experience lies and believe me, my next move you won't be able to miss me...
