23.01.2022 YOUR HEALTH SHOULD BE AN INVESTMENT Many of us can be completely irrational where we invest our time + money and I know I for one have been guilty of this in the past! Reflect on what you currently spend your money on. That example above is literally already $20+! 17.01.2022 Being OK with things not quite being OK is something that I am learning to deal with. What do I do to navigate times that area little more stressful than usual?.. Acknowledge the feelings, thoughts + emotions (writing these feelings down in a journal/ notes in my phone helps a tonne!) Create a safe place for myself (gym/home/ out in nature)... Exercise Be social. Getting out to brunch or finding someone to talk to socially and get out of my head is a gamechanger. Catch up or call a friend When life is throwing obstacles my way which happens often, it truly makes me appreciate the good days! I spend most of my year overseas than I do in Australia (pre travel ban days). Currently sitting at 45 countries! 2I used to live in London and it was the most amazing experience ever. I LOVED IT! 3 Currently studying Weight Management! 4 Trying to teach myself Spanish. 5 I have been vegan for 4 months now, experimenting in the kitchen (I wish I could call it cooking but Im a terrible chef). 6 I LOVE the outdoors! Hiking, beach days, sports, camping, snowboarding, beach days, roller blading, everything! 04.01.2022 9 THINGS I WISH I KNEW ABOUT FITNESS WHEN I STARTED.. all those years ago! 1 Cardio is not essential to lose fat. A calorie deficit is! Endless hours of cardio will not build my ideal physique. 2 Rest days are essential! This is when your body recovers, grows + adapts (this was something I struggled with for years). 3 You dont have to eat chicken, broccoli and rice for every meal to lose fat! . 4 Never compare yourself to your fitspo or body goals! Everyone ha...s their own journey, experience and story. Not to mention completely different genetics + body compositions. 5 Dont underestimate the time it takes to build muscle - it will take longer than 12 weeks to build your dream physique. 6 Your body only really needs 1.6-2.2g of Protein per/kg of body weight to efficiently build/retain muscle, anything more than this provides no additional muscle building benefits. 7 Reaching a particular weight or body fat percentage wont make you happy if you dont enjoy the process!! 8 I wish I had invested in a personal trainer earlier! It would have shaved off at least 3 years of achieving my fitness goals with their modern education + guidance/support. 9 Consistency over perfection. 03.01.2022 Achieving FAT LOSS.. you need to be in a caloric deficit.. You can achieve a deficit by consuming less calories or by moving more! That said, who wants to be doing endless cardio?! Not us! Train smarter, not harder! Next time you’re in the kitchen why not try..... Building your plate with a variety of plants and protein Tracking every lick, taste + sneaky serving while no-one is looking.. Be conscious of your alcohol intake! 02.01.2022 Coach G here I've been up North for 9 weeks now.. checking in with my coaching babes weekly whilst I explore the gorgeous NT has made my 20-20! How am I keeping in some kind of routine whilst living my best life.. I'm going with the flow but also finding routine. Between planning ‘21 IA Retreats and facetime sweat sessions with my gang, it’s keeping me busy! Me time. Self care is super important so every day I make sure there's 30-mins for me at the start and the end of... the day! Cooking! When I make my food I am much more inclined to make better choices and also feel like there is structure in life. With holidays coming up and people planning on travelling my hot tip is pick a place where you can make at least one meal a day. You'll thank me later!
