25.01.2022 I think today's announcement of having 50 people at weddings by late November in Melbourne is really bloody positive. This year has been rough on so many level...s. But at least after today, us Victorians have got a guide or end game. 50 people is fantastic considering everything we've been through in the last six months! I know it's not 150 people. But if everyone does the right thing, we'll get there. My biggest tip for couples with weddings happening later this year or early 2021 is this; Consider your 'trigger points' or 'non-negotiables'. We're in a different world now. If aunty Betty can't come down from QLD to celebrate with you, is that a trigger to postpone your whole wedding? If so, that's completely cool. It's your wedding day. Or, is the only 'non-negotiable' now - 'I want to marry my best friend, no matter who is there, or what it looks like.' Sit down and ask yourselves these questions in lots of detail. No one can make that choice except the two of you. And whatever answer you come up with, that's OK; unless you choose to cancel your wedding altogether and want your deposits back from all your suppliers. Too soon? Haha. To all my couples; my phone and email are always on. I'm here whenever you need. Even if you haven't decided anything, I'm happy just to shoot the shit with you. Melbourne/VIC - let's do the right thing. Don't attend protests. Don't be that conspiracy theorist who thinks that this virus isn't real, and fuck it up for everyone. Chill at home, cook lots of great new things, watch Netflix, play with your dog, etc. It's not that hard. Bunker down for a little bit longer and let's have a ripper 2021!

24.01.2022 Still one of my favourite songs ever and I've never related to it more I'm usually always a "glass half full" person but I'm just as upset and frustrated as the next person rn and we have every right to feel whatever emotions we might have running wild at the moment. I'm yearning to work again and sing at beautiful weddings and events, I want to see my extended family and my new goddaughter who I haven't been able to meet, I was so excited to be seeing my students face to ...face again only to have to switch back to online lessons after 3 weeks. Most of us have spent our lives getting to the point to where we can make a living doing what we love to do. And we have worked so hard to achieve.. 11.01.2022 As far as we know our gig at Murrumbeena Wine Bar is still going ahead tomorrow from 6pm as planned, which is definitely a win after the last 48hrs we've had with most of our work for the next couple of months totally gone, in what was meant to be our BUSIEST month of the year. So as far as we know tomorrow will be our last (public) hurrah for a little while, and I would love it if you could come and join us for an after work sing and drink at this gorgeous local bar that needs just as much of your support, I will try to hold it together as much as I can!
