25.01.2022 Fun fact from the weekend: Mick not only won the over 70s WA state round, but he also had the single highest scoring wave across all divisions for the entire competition. For his good work this legend won him self the Volte Wetsuits performance award and took home a nice new steamer for his troubles. Pictured here with Gerry Begirano from surfing WA. Gerry was the overall over 70s state champion for 2020.

22.01.2022 Surfing WA needs everyones help. There is a new building being planned and will be located further south of their current location and in the middle of car parks between Scarborough and Trigg. The plan is to locate the new building there however there is some grassed area there and people are objecting to the grassed area being taken over by the new building. It is a small area of grass which isnt occupied too much so it makes sense to house the new SWA building there. This... building will be used 12 months of the year, not like the Surf life saving clubs that use their club houses 6-7 months of the year. SWA operate the largest international sporting event in WA that being the Margaret River Pro. They currently operate out of an office basically the size of two double car garages. They need your help to get new premises which are way overdue. Please go to the City of Stirling website and go to Your Say Stirling and once on that page scroll down to SWA Proposed HQ. Make your comments there. This is a great organisation that needs your help. Please assist. Go to https://www.stirling.wa.gov.au//surfing-wa-proposed-headqu Regards Five Star Phil (Corbett) See more

20.01.2022 You know, I was never interested in Mick The Surfer. It did nothing for me. So you surf, so what. Jeanette recounted to me. It wasnt until 8 years into the ...relationship we were at an event at Caves House and there was a boy with his Dad behind me while Mick was up speaking. The boy said to his Dad, Is that THE Mick Marlin?, and his Dad said, Yep, thats him. After I heard that I thought, hey, theres something going on with this guy Most of us could talk about Mick for hours. But if theres only one thing we could say its surfing is Micks life. Not just the wave riding part, but the innate ability to enjoy the ride while always giving back more to surfing than surfing has given to him. Sorry Sydney, but were keeping him. Shot in one take. 100% impromptu. Only slightly against his will. 37 Questions With Mick Marlin #GoMick

09.01.2022 This is the Yallingup Blue model. This board for Adam is the same as we have been doing for years. And years. And years. Why? Because when you have a board that... has racked up as many local, state and national contest wins as the Blue, then there is no need to change it. Adam’s latest longboard is bespoke with a special piece of art by @jedogramtattoo . Adam swears he will NOT be surfing it at Carparks. We are watching you, Adam.
