21.01.2022 Old meets new - the buildings in this old city of London there are ancient and modern things of all kinds banging up against each other. The publishing industry is going through it's own blending of ways, and some of what's been working for hundreds of years is radically changed, while many still cling to the traditions of the past. Ann and I are heading to Frankfurt next week and one of the events we're attending while at the international book fair is the Forum for Publish...ing Distribution - it's the third annual forum being held, and Yours Truly has just been invited to speak (well only for a few minutes - but that's a great start) at the beginning of this forum. So - what do we need to learn, share, and discover about distribution of books as we start down the barrel of 2020 - a new decade... POD, Bookstores, Agents... all play a part. 08.01.2022 Hey Authors, this week I'm in pre-order mode for my book about publishing non-fiction - it's a short story about the real experiences of most authors. So I'm going to share my strategy here for pre-launch cos I know you're going to get a lot out of it. 1st) I Uploaded the book in Ebook format to Amazon, and set the date for when available - that's next monday. 2) I then Created a landing page with details about the book, some of the amazing reviews received, and 'order your... pre-launch copy' buttons. 3) I sharing the landing page links to various online options - including my own SM and other guest SM options (like here) and ensuring there's a story and some value to share with the link. (Like this multi step process this week) Tomorrow I'll be creating a short video about the book to share by end of the week. And I'll post some of what I do to get extra reviews.
