Teams without a coach and manager will not be eligible to attend the 2021 Tag World Cup with Indigenous Oztag!! Make sure you tag people you think would be a good coach or manager in the comments and share this post to get the word out!!
15.01.2022 Check Your Passports!!! Here is the link for all player applications for the provisional divisions representing Australian Indigenous Oztag at the 2021 International Tag Federation World Cup which will be held on 2nd-7thAugust 2021 in Limerick Ireland. There are 12 divisions across a number of ages available.... IMPORTANT!!! Each participating division will select squads of up to 30 interested players before final team selections of 18 players. There will NOT be open trials for any of these nominated squads. The selection process will consist of each coach, manager and nominated selectors either observing your playing performances at any Oztag event or reviewing the information provided in your application. The fee for the tournament player package is yet to be set however it is expected to be around $2600.00 and will include all uniforms, accommodation and transport from your closest major International Airport. Nominated teams who do not have a minimum of 14 full financial players at the cut off date will unfortunately be withdrawn from the tournament. 02.01.2022 The Australian Indigenous Oztag Committee are proud to call for nominations for the positions of Coach and Manager for all our teams to participate in the 2021 International Tag Federation World Cup which will be held on 2nd 7thAugust 2021 in Limerick, Ireland. There are 12 available divisions which include: Under 21’s Men’s, Women’s and Mixed... Open Men’s, Women’s and Mixed Senior Mixed Women’s and Men’s 30’s and 40’s Men’s 50’s It is desired by the committee that all applicants possess the following skills and experience: excellent communication and interpersonal skills; team-building ability; enthusiasm, flexibility and patience; motivational skills; organisational skills; the ability to quickly develop successful working relationships; a desire to help other people succeed; Representative Oztag experience as a coach or player; Passing a Working with Children Check is a requirement to coach or manage any players under the age of 18. All successful applicants are also responsible for the following planning and administration tasks for their teams: Team selections with a maximum number of 18 players per team; (there will be some assistance available if requested) The collection of all relevant player participation fees for their team which meet the required deadlines. Please note: These positions are unpaid positions meaning that you are volunteering for these roles. However all efforts will be made to minimise costs or subsidise any expenses incurred. A minimum of 14 FINANCIAL players will be required at the deadline before a team will be considered viable and subsequently be entered into the tournament. Deadline TBC, but is likely to be early 2021 and cost yet to be confirmed. Both Coach and Manager are expected to commit to their respective teams and not play in or coach another team in this tournament. Player/coaches or Player/managers are also welcome to apply. Any division which does not receive any satisfactory nominations for Coach or Manager will not be considered for entry and thus not take part in the tournament.
