20.01.2022 It is with great sadness that we are informing you of the recent death of Dr Torquil McKillop. Torquil had worked with us as a locum on several occasions in 2019, before joining the staff for several months in mid 2020. Torquil was a very talented veterinary clinician, with a natural good humour that won him many fans amongst our clients. He had great versatility in country practice, with a broad range of skills in large and small animal medicine. He was a top student in hi...s class at Charles Sturt University. Today, he was farewelled in Shoreham, on the Mornington Peninsula. The huge attendance at his funeral was testament to his wide circle of friends and colleagues in the veterinary field plus the wider community and sporting clubs (Torquil played for Tallangatta Cricket Club with great results when he moved there as a new graduate). All of us at Indigo Veterinary Services have been deeply affected by this news. Torquil had a unique and endearing personality. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his parents, his seven siblings and large extended family. This is such a tragic loss for all, Vale Torquil. Rest in peace, to a fine young man.
19.01.2022 A lot of pets can be prone to skin allergies in the springtime due to spring flowers, warmer weather and the high pollen count. It may be difficult for your pet to find relief from the constant itch! The first thing you should do for an itchy pet is to bring them in to see one of our veterinary team, but there are some things around the house you can do to help ease the itch as well.
