15.01.2022 Hi everyone! I’ve decided to change the name of my business. Over the next 24hrs you will see the name change to Indigo + Wolf. Why? I’m planning on doing more than renovations, so the current name just didn’t feel right. I’ve kept Indigo as I love this and the colour is really emotive. (It’s also my daughters name). ... I’ve added Wolf to connect the business to nature. I’m aiming to create healthy homes that have a sustainable, eco and low tox footprint so I feel this brings it to the forefront. BTW it’s also my Dad’s name and my son’s middle name - so keeping it in the family! Lastly, I think it just stands out and hopefully it’s a name that people remember. . 14.01.2022 Continuing the theme on kitchens from earlier in the week, I love this concept of having a window as the splash back....what do you think? Has anyone done one and can share their experience? It's a great idea to get feedback when you are planning your kitchen renovation.....while still staying true to your vision! It's a great idea to think about how you and your family live as you plan this key room in your home. Do you need two ovens as you are always entertaining? Do you... hate seeing the dishes piled on the kitchen bench? Do you always run out of freezer space? Do you have appliances you don't use (but want to) as there is no-where to put them? I have a long list of functionality issues in my current kitchen based on how my family lives that I would fix in a heartbeat, including a pantry that is too deep to see what is in there (what were the architects thinking )! 13.01.2022 I've been ironing up a storm today while it rains outside and the kids are being entertained by Bluey! While Bluey can be entertaining (who with kids doesn't love an episode?!), I tuned out today with back to back podcast episodes from the BuildHer Collective - Building with BuildHer @buildhercollective One of the episodes I listened to was with Rachel Collard about all things kitchens. ... I spent a lot of time on the phone with Rachel while I was discussing commencing the BuildHer course. It was like we had been friends for years! Such a gorgeous woman! And of course I signed up! Anyway, she has heaps of accolades in the kitchen space, including designing Norm & Jess's kitchen on The Block at the Gatwick. If you're looking at renovating your kitchen you should definitely listen to this episode. We all know that kitchens sell houses, so it's important to get the design & functionality right.
