22.01.2022 Excited to partner with Totally Renewable Yackandandah to build this exciting new solar and battery project right here in North East Victoria.

22.01.2022 Today we're live in Seymour, with Mitchell Community Energy, for the Community Battery Webinar. Follow along here to hear presentations from Western Power, AusNet Services, Australian National University, and Indigo Power.

21.01.2022 Hi I’m Cam! I’m the community engagement person at Indigo Power. I work with all our amazing community partners and support them to reach their renewable energy goals. I really want to see our region powered by renewable energy! And being led by the community. I grew up in Yackandandah and have a little place just out of town. I split my time now between Melbourne and Yack. My heart will forever be in North East Victoria!

21.01.2022 This Wednesday evening at 7.30 pm we'll be online with Dandenong Ranges Renewable Energy Association to launch the Eastern Dandenong Ranges Community Energy Hub. Visit https://indigopower.com.au/drrea_webinar/ to find out more. https://rangestrader.mailcommunity.com.au//energy-hub-to-/

20.01.2022 It’s gonna be a bright, sunshiny day for Yackandandah! The Yackandandah community has received a $170,000 grant by The Victorian Government to support and expand a community-owned battery, providing more clean energy to the Yackandandah Community Energy Hub and a vital step toward the town reaching its goal of making Yackandandah’s energy 100% renewable. Indigo Power is excited to partner with Totally Renewable Yackandandah (TRY) to provide clean energy to members of the Ya...ckandandah Hub around the clock. The battery will allow renewable energy generated locally during the day to be stored and used by Indigo Power customers in Yackandandah in the evening. Indigo Power and TRY have already raised $250,000 to support this project and now with this grant, we are ready to get the project built! says TRY’s Juliette Milbank. This will be among the first community solar and battery projects of its kind in Australia and will ensure the members of the Yackandandah Hub have access to clean power when the sun isn’t shining, during the early evening rush and throughout the night. We look forward to working with other hubs across the region to build generation and power more communities with local clean energy! #IndigoPower #sharetheenergy #cleanenergy

19.01.2022 If you can include getting ready for bushfires in a way that does something about the broader problem of climate change, why shouldn’t you? How renewable energy is offering reliability and the chance to rebuild a different future after the summer bushfires.

18.01.2022 For Maggie and Laura the switch to Indigo Power was a ‘no brainer’. We jumped at the chance to back a community-owned energy company. By becoming a customer we’re supporting the future of renewable energy in the region. We love creating social impact through our everyday spending. You too can make a difference, join Indigo Power today. #indigopower #communityowned #maketheswitch #sharetheenergy #indigopowered #cleanenergy #renewableenergy #solarenergy #beechworth #supportlocal

17.01.2022 This weekend draws NAIDOC week to a close, but there's still lots of ways to get involved. The theme this year, 'always Was, always will be', recognises that First Nations people have occupied and cared for this continent for over 65,000 years. You can find a NAIDOC event for this weekend here: https://www.naidoc.org.au/get-involved/naidoc-week-events... #NAIDOC2020

17.01.2022 MEET THE TEAM! Hello! I’m Fran, the new(ish) Marketing and Communications Officer at Indigo Power. I am in charge of telling Indigo Power’s story, engaging with our customers and sharing our knowledge. I am passionate about crafting meaningful stories that bring our community together, there is so much more we can do as a community than on our own! You’ll see my work on social media, our website and newsletters.... Originally from Perth, Whorouly is now my home, and though I terribly miss the beaches in WA, I am determined to enjoy everything our region has to offer. You will probably catch me at a winery or the local farmers market - so make sure you say hello!

Thanks Patagonia and Totally Renewable Yackandandah for all the support along the way. https://www.patagonia.com.au//bright-sparks-yackandandah-r

12.01.2022 Fantastic to see a push in Parliament today around support for community energy. As Australia moves toward 100% renewable energy, community energy will ensure that local and regional communities will benefit from the ‘boom’ in wind and solar energy investment.

10.01.2022 A community energy hub is a community or town working together to create and share electricity. Indigo Power customers can generate electricity and share it with their neighbours. As we continue to grow, we will build larger solar and battery projects to supply communities with top-up power. Every community energy hub remains connected to the Australian electricity network, so you’ve always got power when you need it #indigopower #sharetheenergy #indigopowered #cleanenergy #renewableenergy #communityowned #supportlocal #communityhub

09.01.2022 We are pleased to be working with Totally Renewable Yackandandah to power the town with clean energy. The Yackandandah Hub is generating so much local renewable energy that we are looking for customers without solar to use some of the surplus.

08.01.2022 Jenny and Michael joined Indigo Power as electricity customers and as the 50th members of the Beechworth Community Energy Hub! To celebrate, we visited Project 49 with Totally Renewable Beechworth to grab Jenny and Michael a hamper. Here’s why they signed up. We just love the idea of supporting a local business that is helping power our region with renewable energy. There is something great about knowing the people who work at Indigo Power, and that they are committed to our community. I am so excited to join the Beechworth Hub and support our local community.

08.01.2022 "Business schools don’t teach it, but co-operatives can be a boon for regional communities. Many checking out what towns such as Yackandandah in Victoria has done to save its local garage and later install community based solar, and they’re following suit." Great read about how cooperatives and social enterprises are thriving in regional Victoria.

07.01.2022 Excited to be attending the launch of Totally Renewable Beechworth's exciting plans for the future tonight.

05.01.2022 When he's not home schooling, Sandy's been staffing the phones and the email from his home office in Cudgewa. We're all looking forward to being back in the Beechworth office soon.

02.01.2022 No, you don’t! Anyone can join Indigo Power Those customers with solar panels generate the energy that other customers can use, or we’ll generate it for you at our community-owned solar power systems. So don’t worry. If you don’t have solar panels you’ll still be an important participant in your community energy hub, and be able to have your electricity supplied by Indigo Power. #indigopower #sharetheenergy #indigopowered #cleanenergy #renewableenergy #communityowned #supportlocal #solarenergy #beechworth #supportlocal
