18.01.2022 New Staff Alert! Tetei Bakic has joined the FIRE Team as a new social media admin. Tetei is a Zagareb and Dauareb girl from Mer Island and Erub Island in the Torres Strait and a Bindal girl from Townsville, FNQ with Serbian and Papuan heritage. She is in her final year studying a Bachelor of Arts Psychology and Bachelor of Human Sciences (double major: Community Services & Counselling Theory and Principles).
06.01.2022 Dr Tristan Kennedy is conducting research jointly funded by Facebook Australia and Macquarie University looking at Indigenous peoples' navigation of harmful content and avenues of support on social media. Get in touch if you would like to participate in an online focus group!
