07.01.2022 Isolating at its best, we can’t go far in the community but plenty do around here. From feeding sheep, chooks, walking the dog, swimming in the pool or relaxing in the spa, cooking, playing golf, sitting by the fire , cooking mashmellos on the fire, gardening, fishing or just relaxing with Netflix or Disney ....or playing games on the Xbox , each individual that stays day is based on their needs, likes, choices. We work on goals, we work on skill building but most of all on... fun .,. Engaging in ways that keep the individual learning but enjoying activities from sensory activities to cooking , everyone has different needs, ability and choices and we work to meet those. When we can get out in the community again, we go to zoo, beach, meals out at cafes , community events, markets, fetes, swimming, golf, fishing, concerts, fun days, drives, shopping. Movies. Bowling,..... all based on the individual and what they like to do and enjoy. We have been busy since Christmas with lots of adults or children staying over for respite. Our therapy dog ruby just loves it.
