17.01.2022 - ... . From today, 1 July 2020, the National Construction Code (NCC) 2019 Amendment 1 has been adopted and the amendment is now given legal effect by relevant legislation in each State and Territory. The Amendment to 3.5.2.5 (V2) clarifies that anti-ponding boards are in roofs where sarking is not installed.... Anti Ponding Board is used to support roof sarking at the bottom of the rafters or trusses where they meet the fascia. Without this support, water can collect and pond at the fascia line and the sarking can be pulled down out of the gutter and into the soffits or eaves however when no sarking is installed they can create a surface for condensation to accumulate holding moisture in the roof cavity. Don't forget that you still need to make sure your fascia is higher than your tile battens to stop stormwater overflowing your gutter and entering your roof space...

05.01.2022 , . Remember: Be very careful with your electricity - turn it off at the switchboard if there is any chance that water will reach the GPOs Do not use heaters or hair driers as this can seal the walls and make it difficult for them to dry. Lift carpets and use an ambient air fan to dr...y underneath. Flood water is considered as contaminated as sewage - protect your health with gumboots, gloves, glasses and ensure that your wash up as soon as you have finished cleaning up. And it only takes 24 - 48 hours for mould to grow, so make sure areas affected are dried quickly. Exposure to e...ven these moulds can have a negative impact on the health of susceptible individuals.
