24.01.2022 As advised by Bowls Victoria, Sport and Recreation Victoria and Vicsport, the new State Government guidelines are as follows Bowling is not considered to be 'st...renuous physical exercise and therefore a face covering is required As from Monday 3 August, face masks/coverings will be mandatory wearing in Victoria regional areas - including by players on the bowls green. Wearing a face covering may ne uncomfortable and may take time to get use to, however this is a mandatory measure. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN FACE MASK There are a number of lawful reasons for not wearing a face covering, including if you have a medical certificate, so should this apply, we ask you to inform the club to note this. If you have a condition that prevents you from wearing a face covering at all times, you do not need to carry it with you but the match committee should be made aware of the certificate. A face covering is not required when consuming food/drink in the clubhouse, but you must have the mask on your person upon entry and exit. Your mask when not in use should be stored in a plastic bag. 11.01.2022 Good evening folks , a big shout out to all IBW members and friends , hope this finds you fit and well,,for those of us lucky enough to play in our respective state teams our thoughts would normally be turning to the national titles at this time of year but with the medical crisis still gripping the country and most bowls being canned , the nationals are a no go zone , I’m sure I’m not the only one who will miss the hard fought games and the friendships made , stay safe folks, hope to see you all in Ballarat in 2021

03.01.2022 Good evening folks ,, hope this finds everybody fit and well, usually at this time of year we’re thinking about the inter group championship in Ballarat and how to survive the Antarctic like conditions , I think there may be a few of us who will miss the chance to catch up with all you wonderful folk ,, let’s hope the numbers restrictions lift soon and we can get some sort of pennant in ,, stay safe folks and hopefully we will see you on a matt somewhere soon

03.01.2022 Good evening folks,, Hope this finds everyone fit and well,, IBW board held a meeting during the week in an effort to try an get some sort of competition up and running , depending on restrictions remaining as they are and sending a plan of attack to WCC and getting the nod from Vibba and going by the current rules, A few ideas were thrown around , maybe 3 or 4 groups of 20 playing pairs at different intervals on a Saturday or mini tournaments played at each club , similar to what Dennington held last wk , these are just ideas , a letter will be sent out to clubs soon , but we ask all locals to contact their clubs and indicate if they intend to play so we can get a idea on what numbers we’re going to get , hope to see you on a mat somewhere soon , Cheers Stay safe folks
