23.01.2022 Did You Know: The Pectoralis Minor muscle is a major contributor to rounded shoulder posture. When the pectoralis minor muscle tightens and shortens, it pulls t...he shoulders forward which then causes upper back pain. Entrapment by the pectoralis minor muscle can block blood and nerve flow to the arms causing pain, tingling, numbness (dysesthesia) and unusual sensations (parasthesias). The pectoralis minor’s very strong tendon overlies the brachial plexus of nerves and the axillary artery that make up the neurovascular bundle that serves the arm. 14.01.2022 GIFT CERTIFICATES NOW AVAILABLE I have been asked frequently lately if I do gift certificates and with the silly season here I thought it a good time to share. If you are looking for something for that impossible person to buy for or just know someone who could do with some repair and relaxation, why not get them this. Take care and Merry Christmas.

14.01.2022 Brachial Plexus Injury - "A brachial plexus injury is an injury to the brachial plexus the network of nerves that sends signals from your spine to your should...er, arm and hand. A brachial plexus injury occurs when these nerves are stretched, compressed or, in the most serious cases, torn. This can happen when your shoulder is pressed down forcefully while your head is pushed up and away from that shoulder; a direct contact hit also can compress these nerves. Brachial plexus injuries are common in contact sports such as football, but they can also result from auto or motorcycle accidents or falls. Babies sometimes sustain brachial plexus injuries during birth. Other conditions, such as inflammation or tumors, may affect the brachial plexus. Minor injuries may get better on their own, but severe brachial plexus injuries require surgical repair." Full article Here: http://mayocl.in/1Au4gMc

12.01.2022 "Not everything that can be counted counts and not everything that counts can be counted" is a quote attributed to Albert Einstein! Alas, this is the plight of ...many complementary therapies as the limited scope of research available does not support efficacy. We who use these therapies in our clinics daily and our clients see and feel the results. With or without private health insurance recognition people will continue to use them because they work! Many of us have been in the natural health industry well before there was any health insurance rebate available for these modalities and they flourished then for the same reason. Given that most health funds provide only a small rebate for natural therapies it will be interesting to see how much of a difference this change will make to premiums and the subsequent savings to the federal government by way of the reduction in the 30% rebate on said premiums. 06.01.2022 Due to the current virus climate and the PM’s announcement, I have decided to close my doors until further notice. I am optimistic that this will be over soon and life will be back to some normality shortly. Take whatever opportunity you have to quiet yourself, breathe and release any nervous tension you feel. (Stress will only reduce your immune response) Eat well, exercise gently and as always, Drink Water. Take care and stay safe. Xx Jess

06.01.2022 Arm: in zoology, either of the forelimbs or upper limbs of ordinarily bipedal vertebrates, particularly humans and other primates. The term is sometimes restri...cted to the proximal part, from shoulder to elbow (the distal part is then called the forearm). In brachiating (tree-swinging) primates the arm is unusually long. The bones of the human arm, like those of other primates, consist of one long bone, the humerus, in the arm proper; two thinner bones, the radius and ulna, in the forearm; and sets of carpal and metacarpal bones in the hand and digits in the fingers. The muscle that extends, or straightens, the arm is the triceps, which arises on the humerus and attaches to the ulna at the elbow; the brachialis and biceps muscles act to bend the arm at the elbow. A number of smaller muscles cover the radius and ulna and act to move the hand and fingers in various ways. The pectoralis muscle, anchored in the chest, is important in the downward motion of the entire arm and in quadrupeds pulls the limb backward in locomotion. The term arm may also denote the limb or the locomotive or prehensile organ of an invertebrate, such as the ray of a starfish, tentacle of an octopus, or brachium of a brachiopod.
