08.01.2022 We are saddened by the news that on Saturday, November 7, 2020, IMHA lost a member of our Hockey Family due to cancer. We are sending our thoughts and prayers to the Kowula family during this devastating time. Over the years, Christine has made a huge impact on our association as well as other sports in our community. She will be missed by many. Chantelle Unger is collecting donations of gift cards and meals for the family as they navigate through their loss. Please contact h...er for information. Due to Christine’s love of supporting kids in sports, James Kowula has chosen Kids Sport Canada as their Charity of Choice to donate in Christine’s Memory. Please ensure you select the Calgary and Area Chapter. https://lnkd.in/g24aMRf Behind every hockey player who believes in himself is a Hockey Mom who believed in him first.

02.01.2022 If you don’t know the Barclay family through baseball, hockey, brownies and girl guides, then you definitely know them through April who has run a dayhome in Langdon for years and is our amazing seamstress here in town. Troy and their son David were in a terrible accident on Friday night. It is going to be a long road to recovery with several surgeries in their future. Our community and friends has a wonderful way of wrapping our arms around the people that live here in times... of need. Troy Barclay, April Oneski, Jayden, David, and Brooklyn could use a little help. Please feel free to share and/or donate whatever you can to help this amazing family get through this extremely difficult time. Whatever is raised and isn't needed by them to help pay for essentials while they recover will be donated to Stars Air Ambulance. Thank you and God Bless. Dawn Johnson and Mendy MacDougall https://www.gofundme.com/f/troy-and-april-barclay
