13.01.2022 Here is a quick guide to selecting the right type of scrubbing brush and how it fits into an overall cleaning regime: Light scrubbing: High gloss polished, sealed, tiled, vinyl, marble, granite, timber or painted floors: Soft Nylon or Natural Fibre brush General Scrubbing: Sealed concrete, unsealed porous / microporous tiles, concrete with not too much buildup that requires medium level of maintenance scrubbing: Polypropylene brushes Heavy / Aggressive Scrubbing: Unsealed con...crete, brick paving with buildup: Tynex brushes (Nylon impregnated with abrasive carbon chips). Whilst the correct type of brush is important, always remember that in scrubbing, there are 4 main factors that will impact the final result: 1. Type of floor 2. Type of soilage 3. Type of chemical used: (correct pH for the type of soilage) 4. Time: Dwell time (the time the chemical is allowed to sit and do its work) 5. Agitation: Brush type, brush speed and down-pressure exerted 6. Effective recovery of the dirty water: unrecovered solution means that the floor will rapidly re-soil as the remaining chemical does what it is supposed to do and continue to attract dirt!
