25.01.2022 It's D-day this Friday April 28th in Adelaide as COAG meets to decide (once again) the fate of Low THC hemp foods. Let's hope they get the vote right this time and allow all Australians and New Zealanders access to this nutritional health food, as is the case all over the world. The time for common sense and foresight is here, not only does this super food bring us much of our daily requirements for digestible protein, omega 3,6 & 9, vitamins and minerals but it is also an incredible agricultural crop that both our farmers and the state economy could benefit from. Let's get this right Australia!

19.01.2022 ANNOUNCEMENT... It is with immense gratitude and a somewhat heavy heart that I announce my resignation as President of IHASA - Industrial Hemp Association of South Australia. From humble beginnings (when I launched IHASA in 2010 with the view to create a portal of education around industrial hemp and see the legal cultivation of hemp a reality in our state), to its incorporation in 2015 via a then newly formed committee of passionate individuals. IHASA has now transitioned... to become a key not for profit body assisting State Government to implement Industrial Hemp Regulations, hemp cultivar trials and seed selection while continuing to educate, innovate and collaborate. As industry grows and given the demands of my work with my business hemp hemp hooray! "cream of the crop natural body care" are expanding, my time needs now to be completely focused on creating more opportunity to serve through the business. To showcase the quality of products manufactured in this State using hemp and to hopefully inspire more people to get growing and embrace this incredible plant and all its potential. Before closing I wish to personally thank Graeme Parsons our newly elected President and Ruth Trigg our ongoing Secretary for their tireless, professional work and most importantly their love and support over the past 3 years. Thanks also goes to the various committee members old and new for their support and work. A huge thank you must also go to my family for their endless love and support throughout this whole passionate journey. I love you I look forward to seeing what 2018 brings for the Association and especially for Industrial Hemp as a whole in SA. I will remain on as a member of IHASA and continue to share news and current information via the facebook page as there will be much to share in the coming months and years I am sure. 02.01.2022 With the recent passing of the Industrial Hemp Bill SA 2016 and the yes vote to allow the legal consumption of hemp foods in Australia the opportunities this industry can bring need to be acted on with haste. The world is finally moving fast in this arena and the legal cultivation and production of CBD oil should be on the agenda as well. CBD oil can be harvested from the Industrial Hemp crop, however this is not legally allowed and is simply returned to the earth as organic... matter. Our farmers and consumers will not be able to capitalise on this incredible resource either. SA has always been known as the cannabis state and communities could now prosper not only in health but in wealth with sustainable economic growth.
