18.01.2022 Join us for the Global Wave of Light October 15 is also International Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day and is recognised across the world and we would ...like to invite you to join our digital wave of light and take part in the global Wave of Light’. Simply light a candle at 7pm local time and leave it burning for at least 1 hour to join us in remembering all babies and toddlers that have died too soon. This can be done individually or in a group, at home or in a communal space. Wherever you do this, you will be joining a global Wave of Lightin memory of all the little ones who lit up our lives for such a short time. This year we’re inviting you to join a digital Wave of Light at 7pm local time on October 15. To be part of this take a photo of your candle and share it #WaveOfLight at 7pm local time. 18.01.2022 Myself and the beautiful owner of Indy Bear have merged as a team and I want to give everyone a insight of this beautiful organisation that touched Hearts all o...ver Australia! My Name is Tamica and Indy was my daughter, It is through my own personal experience that led me to initiate this charity. When my daughter Indy passed away, I had her ashes placed in a bear. We took Indy home with us and herein started our healing journey. Our whole family, especially Indy's siblings, took great comfort in knowing they could speak, sing to, sleep with, hold onto and cuddle Indy whenever they needed to. We can never bring Indy back but we take comfort in our Indy Bear reminding us every day of the good times we had and how much she was loved. By sharing our experience we hope to help others who are also travelling the road of grief and loss, whatever form that may take, so they know that they are not alone and it is our hope that our IndyBear can be of some comfort during these times. IndyBear is a non-profit organisation initially established to support parents and children who have suffered the loss of a child or sibling. Everyone reacts to loss in different ways, and the feeling of loss can be felt as a result of many circumstances not only through the loss of a loved one. Whether it be parents suffering through the loss of their precious child, a child suffering the loss of their parent, brother, sister, grandparents or friend, or a child who, due to circumstances beyond their control, is taken away from their family and friends. Often children feel alone and forgotten whilst the adults around them are themselves trying to cope with loss. Nothing can replace that special person that we grieve for, but sometimes we can get comfort when we have something tangible to hold and hug at times when we are feeling sad. Along the way Indy bear has also helped families in other circumstances. Parents who have children in hospital who have terminal illness have something to hold after there child has passed that they know there child has held in there last days. It has bought comfort to children with sensory disabilities as the bear is weighted Indy bear has brought so much comfort to families under a variety of circumstances. Indy bear is made in Australia according to Australian standards the bear carried 1kg of weight and sits 30cm tall. Each bear comes with a personalised letter for $30 including postage all money goes back into the charity for further production of bears.
