22.01.2022 Hi. After a very successful agency in the US, we've decided to serve small businesses in our own back yard, and come home. Small businesses seem universally to fall victim either to wannabe's who are out of their depth, or unscrupulous companies charging the earth. No wonder small business owners are wary of digital marketing. But a new breed of digital marketer is emerging - themselves small businesses - who are providing honest services at realistic rates. We're one of t...hem. Here's how we do things: (1) First, we find out about your business, your needs, your pain points, your headroom. (2) Then we investigate your main competitors to see how they are faring online (3) We then go to Facebook and Google and put together Ad scenarios, with budgets, estimated returns and realistic expectations (4) We offer to run a 2 or 3 week trial (at no cost - you just pay for Ad spend) - so that we can collect real-world data (and referrals, of course) (5) Finally, at the end of the trial, we get together with you to discuss the trial's profitability and to discuss the possibility of an ongoing (paid) relationship. This seems to us a fair, transparent and sensible approach. If you'd like to talk this through, feel free to book a time on our online calendar, and let's take it from there. https://calendly.com/inetmarketing-au/15min
08.01.2022 I constantly hear business owners complaining that: "I can't afford any more advertising", or "advertising is killing us". As though advertising were a cost to be endured. If that's how you consider Ad spend, - you're doing it wrong! Look at it this way: If you have $100 in your advertising budget, and you spend it on flyers, or with Google or Facebook, or wherever, and you don't get back at least four or five times that amount in sales, you're doing it wrong! If you spend yo...ur $100 and sit there not really knowing what your ROI is, you're doing it wrong! Does a farmer take a bag of seed, sow them in his field and consider that a waste of grain? Not if he knows what he's doing, he doesn't. Without seed, he can't possibly expect to have a crop the following year. He knows all too well that the single bag of seed will return to him a hundred-fold when the harvest comes in. And yet I still hear business owners grumbling about the "cost of advertising", as though this is a burden which has to be endured. The difference is, of course, that the farmer knows exactly what he's doing. He knows when it is warm enough for germination to occur. And when the rains will water his crop. He and his forebears have been doing it successfully for centuries. And he knows it works. Not so the small businessman. He's out there scattering seeds in a gale, planting crops in the drought, sowing on hard ground. Doing his very best to get new customers through the door, but not really knowing how to go about it. He's not stupid, and he does the research. He knows that Google Ads get results, but even though he spends many hours at night trying to figure out how the Ad Manager works, somehow his Ads just don't get results. No wonder he sows the marketing seed with a grudge, and counts it a waste. You can see where this is going, can't you? All it takes is a bit of savvy, a bit of industry know-how and a bit of flair, and the small businessman can sit back and watch his harvest mature in front of his eyes. The only trouble is - he doesn't have the skills. That's all. He's a struggling businessman, not a marketing expert. So what does he need to do? Team up with someone who does know how this lot works. But don't turn to the brother-in-law and get him to do it. And don't turn to the IT guy and enlist his help either. You need someone who lives, breathes and sleeps this stuff. Want some honest, sane and down to earth advice? Give me a call, and let's see what we can organise. https://calendly.com/inetmarketing-au/15min Duncan
