22.01.2022 Don't put yourself into situations you know will make your feel sad. Don't let others talk you into those situations either. You do not have to go to someone else's baby shower or visit a new mum in hospital. You are dealing with enough. Focus on you others will understand trust me.

22.01.2022 This is your journey and you are the expert on it. While some people will say 'I relaxed and got pregnant right away' you know they mean well but in reality it's not your reality. No matter what your journey stay focussed on your goal no matter what anyone says.

20.01.2022 How many IVF have you done with no positive result? Something is wrong or not working and you need to know what so it can be sorted. Be proactive in your treatment options. Do your research. Find out the cutting edge information. What tests do you need to have done you haven't done yet? What do your results show? Are your results showing you are close to one end of average? If so this may affect your outcome. You need to be in the center of average not up one end or the oth...er. How can you shake your protocal up a bit? You are in control of your journey. YOU ane the one in CONTROL. Be prepared to move clinics to where your doctor will get the tests done you want done. After all everyone is an individual and one set protocal 'we do this first protocal for everyone' is not going to help you at all if you have multiple things wrong with you. Its cookie cutter medicine. Do you have blood clotting problems (antiphospholipid syndrome), PCOS, antisperm antibodies, endo, Factor V? Does your man have sperm that is not mobile, misshaped etc? If your protocal doesn't include ICSI and your partner has sperm issues you are not going to meet the goal. Ask for what you what and if they will not give it to you ask why, nod then move clinics. You can get any embryos sent to other clinics - its only paperwork so what. Pick a proactive clinic and before you sign anything tell them why you are moving from your current clinic and make sure you are going to a place where they are proactive. There is no loyalty in IVF its all about reaching your goal. Ring around and move to another clinic that will listen, act, and encourage you to explore what is not happening with your body. This is your life and this is your money. Waste neither. Have courage and be strong. Do not take no for an answer. This is what I did after a while. Don't waste time like I did before I got the courage to say 'I want that test!'. See more

19.01.2022 One in eight women have fertility problems. I had eight different things stopping me from conceiving. It took time to find out what they were. It took 6 years and 8 IVF cycles until I got one positive. That positive is now 8 and a half years old. Ladies even in the darkness there is hope. . I remember the journey.

You might be thinking it is sure to never work because of your stress. This is not so. It does not matter if you are stressed or not if it is going to work it will regardless of your mental stress.

17.01.2022 Hello lovely people. One way or another your journey will end. Just keep going and believe things will change. You do not have to emotionally invest yourself in a cycle for it to work. Just jump through the hoops and do the cycle meanwhile get on with your life. You must be cycling to be in there with a chance. Someone has to be on the right side of the statistics.

16.01.2022 Don't dwell on a negative. It's ok to feel sad and to cry. But if you have done many cycles then you will know there comes a time when you get a negative result and think 'right I need to get on with my life while I am organising the next cycle. Remember you can still have a life away from ivf treatment and this is important because you need a mental as well as a physical break to regroup and look forward.

15.01.2022 Last night on ABC News I saw a segment questioning whether ICSI and steroids for NK cells works. They claim the stats are low and thus using these 'add ons' is a waste of money. They FAILED to mention when ICSI is used and why. As you know ICSI is used to inject a single sperm into a single egg. This is necessary when the sperm has mobility issues. If there are no mobility issues then why use ICSI. The use of steroids to bring down the levels of NK cells ought only be used if you have NK cells that maybe altering the outcome of your IVF cycle - otherwise why take steroids. We used both ICSI and I had NK cell treatments with steroids because this was necessary. Always question claims. Always. And in the end its your body and your money - if you do not get the service you want then move clinics.
