In the space of self care, take a deep breath and hold it for six seconds. Have a think about what the trigger is doing to your body, are you feeling your muscles tense, jaw locking? Now that you are aware of what is happening to your body, thank yourself and take control. While breathing out, be conscious of your body and how it is feeling an...d release that emotion like a surfer riding a wave. Then do something that emotionally fills up your cup and then redirect your attention to something productive By acknowledging the energy in motion(emotion) and redirecting, we change how it affects us physiologically. We can then choose from that level playing field.
